Great quality, reusable container, good value for money.
I buy this about once every three months. They'd go a lot longer if I didn't love them so much.1. I read a review saying these aren't as flavourful as Engevita. That's probably true. But at my local shops its about £4-£6 for 100g of Engevita, so that would make it £40-£60 for 1kg, which is insane. So this is really good value for money, because I get this for about £17.2. The bucket's a good quality, and it's reusable. I use the old ones to store dried peppers, mushrooms, bath items, etc. The bucket has a handle so it's actually useful for household items etc. and the sticker peels off really easily so you can add a new one. The sticker doesn't really look like the photo supplied, though, and covers only a small part of the bucket. Not a big deal, and actually helps.3. Easy to open and use. I scoop out what I need into a shaker. A supplied spoon or something would be nice?4. The palate of the nutritional yeast is good. You can use it in a lot of different dishes, it's really versatile. I use it for mac and cheese, on toast, to top food and potatoes (particularly soups), garnish salads and sandwiches, on baked beans (!!), in sauces. When I'm really scraping the bottom of the financial barrel, I put this on rice with some wasabi. You can also put it on popcorn!5. The quality of the nutritional yeast itself is good. I've never noticed anything except nutritional yeast in the pack itself, it's always sealed with a plastic cover outside the bucket itself, and it's always filled up to the top.6. As far as the nutrients in the item itself, I think it's just as good as any store bought nutritional yeast. I can't of course tell for sure, but it satisfies my cravings for it well enough that I'm fairly sure it's actually hitting the spot, because I really crave B12 if I don't have this stuff. It's produced in the UK, so it's helpful to know that it's likely subject to the UK's strict rules on food labelling (at least, it puts me at ease).

Healthy and tasty
I love this. It is a healthy & tasty addition to pasta and soups. I part boil my chips, then put a little oil on them and smother in this extract and finish off in my air fryer (I imagine they work just as well on a tray in the over) adding just a little salt to taste. They make the tastiest cheesy chips ever and so good for you

Great Product
An essential part of the storecupboard for any vegan. These flakes have a lovely cheesy, savoury, flavour. You can use them in most of the same places where you would normally sprinkle grated cheese. Sandwiches, pizzas, salads, sauces, soups, roasted vegetables etc. etc... I know several non-vegans who keep these flakes simply because they are nice.I buy a few products made by 'Special Ingredients'... they are just that... specialist ingredients that you don't always find on supermarket shelves... This pot is better value than Engevita... The flavour is slightly different, but neither better or worse... A pot of this size lasts for ages. If you've never tried it before then you should give it a go and experiment with it.

The best value for nutritional yeast
This product is delicious and will last you for a long time! I'm using it already for a few months and have a lot of product left. Perfect for sauces, protein boost and cheese flavour.

Sure, why not
Good value for money. Flavour could be a bit strange.

Bucket of unflavorful dust.
Alright, let's get down to business. I recently had the misfortune of trying Special Ingredients' Nutritional Yeast Flakes, and I must say, it was a bit of a letdown. The product looked like it had been sitting in the cupboard for ages, with a pale, lackluster appearance that didn't exactly scream "premium quality." The texture was more like a fine powder than flakes, which made it feel like I was sprinkling a bit of disappointment on my meals. Now, I've had nutritional yeast from other brands before, and it's usually a game-changer. It adds a depth of flavor that's hard to replicate. But this? It was like someone took all the excitement out of vegan cooking and replaced it with... well, a bag of stale powder. The lack of flavor and unappealing texture made it clear that this was not the nutritional yeast I was used to.The worst part? The price tag on this "premium quality" product was a wee bit steep for what felt like a bag of nothing special. If you're a vegan looking for that cheesy magic, keep looking. This one's a hard pass. Trust me, you don't want to end up with a container of what feels like a forgotten relic from the back of the cupboard. Save your taste buds (and your wallet) the trouble.Rating: 1/5 (if i could give it zero i would)Recommendation: Look for brands that actually deliver on flavor and texture. Your vegan dishes deserve better than a bag of stale disappointment.
