I've looked all over for an 8tb external hard for my ps4 and ps5 and everyone I've found were hundreds of dollars. Seen this one and just had to buy it. For $100 and a 2year warranty it's worth the buy..

I had this for less than 6 months and it already quit working!!! It won’t power on. I tried to unplug it from the device and the outlet and nothing is working. I tried to contact the company and had no response.

If I had purchased the correct storage that’s compatible with my gaming system.It will only save PS4 OR PS5 games, not both. It is compatible with PS5, but you have to decide between saving your PS4 games, OR your PS5 games. If you want to save both off your gaming system you will need to purchase a second one.I swapped out and opted for the 3T SSDHeatsink direct expansion in PS5. It better suits my purposes.

Just got this a few days ago. Transfer times from PS5 to external storage decent. 170GB took about 15 minutes. Still 7.25TB of space left. Haven't tried playing PS4 games straight from the drive yet, but as long as that works I'll be more than happy with the purchase.

I purchased this drive to move 6tb off of my smaller external and my 2Tb SSD inside my PS5, after moving all files took around 5 hours, also I couldn't directly move from SSD to Avolusion soo I had to move them to PS5 internal then to Avulsion 8tb. But all in all well worth it for my PS4 and PS5 library, if Sony let's us use a bigger storage I will go for the 12 or 18TB version next.

My PS5 had all of it's storage space completely used up and I was sick of having to delete games every time I wanted to try something new. Plugged this external hard drive in and the PS5 recognized it right away. Transferring files took around 30-45 minutes because it was over 400Gb. Copying a single game from one drive to the other is much quicker. A nice feature that I didn't have to set up is that PS4 games install directly to the external drive. So, I went back and put in all the PS4 discs I'd had to delete files for and each game installed in 15 minutes or less.

Lo compre para mí PS4, y ha funcionado bien, lo mejor es que no tuve que formatear ni configurar nada, solo lo conecté y pase los juegos del PS4 al Disco duro externo.Lo recomiendo, buena capacidad y buen Precio.

Yep, it was easy to install. Just made sure that I turned it on first, then the PS5 and it found it right away. Moved all my PS4 games and apps to it they run without any problems. It's not an SSD it's and actual drive so you hear it when it's writing and reading but if you are used to the PS4 fan, then you won't really mind if you have the TV or stereo up and listening to the game.I'm so glad I purchased this because you can't beat the price for such a well built USD drive.

Tolle, kleine HD für die PS4 Spiele. Die USB3-Festplatte wurde sofort als externes Medium ohne extra Formatierung erkannt und stellt ca 7,5 GB Speicher zur verfügung. Natürlich lässt sich die HD im PS4-Design auch an andere Geräte anschließen, aber an meiner PS5 ist es zusätzlich ein nettes Gimmick, dass sie eben wie eine kleine PS4 aussieht.Ich kopierte einige PS4-Games auf die Festplatte, wovon sie problemlos gestartet werden. Die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit ist ausreichend. Somit ist im internen Speicher der Playstation mehr Platz für PS5 Games. PS5 Games lassen sich natürlich auch auf die Avolusion HD auslagern, sie starten aber systembedingt nicht von dort! PS4 Games natürlich schon.Hervorzuheben ist noch, dass die HD auf der Rückseite einen Aus-Schalter hat. Somit muss sie nicht immer mitlaufen, wenn ich nicht gerade PS4 Games zocken möchte.Leider hat das Netzteil keinen Eurostecker, sondern Flachstecker, womit es hier nicht betrieben werden kann. Das ist aber auch im Bild ersichtlich gewesen, deshalb keinen Sternebabzug. Ein 12V Netzteil hatte ich noch, oder kann günstig dazu erworben werden.

Only used this for 2 months now, but yeah, it works well with my PS5 console. The only downside is the cranky noise it makes from time to time while in use. But even that I've gotten used and barely notice.
