Having consciously taken a gamble when I finally decided to order it, the ladder arrived quickly and securely packaged, yet the boxing was easy enough to open. Having been at first a bit cynical about the quality of the laddar, I was prepared to not feel overly disappointed when the laddar would collapse with the placement of just a few of my books. But how surprised I feel!Although I did not expect much stability from the shelf, as I planned on utilizing it as a bookshelf, I have been extremely happy. With most of my books carefully placed on it, the ladder has quickly taken up its function as not only a shelf, but a durable as well as beautiful, and special, rustic-looking intriguing piece of unique, but useful furniture. Some day I would like to purchase at least one to two more, not only just like it, vut definitely from the same outlet.Satisfied and grateful I took a chance at ordering this beautiful piece of rustic set of wood planks, how grateful I feel I took such a chance. Simple and extremely rural, this laddar-turned-shelf can make anyone happy who has specific and eccentric tastes in style.

I've been working on "southwesterning" up my front porch and saw this rustic-looking ladder and just had to have it! I've had it outside for about a week now. The first day it was out there, it was incredibly windy with lots of rain and when I looked outside a few hours later it had fallen over and was soaked through and through. I wedged it behind my bench a bit and ever since it's been perfectly fine (and we have had a lot of windy days)! I have another ladder that is a very heavy pine that I keep indoors that holds a Mexican blanket (bought it years ago in Mexico and paid next to nothing for it). This ladder is very lightweight compared to that one, but I'm not planning on hanging anything on it (maybe a few lights around the holidays). This is just what I wanted. It's rustic, weathered-looking, can survive the hot summers and rainy monsoon seasons of southern Arizona and it "southwesterns" up my front porch just fine! Even Loki, my cat, agrees (she can be seen peeking out the window)!

Very happy with this ladder! It is definitely rustic. It has some rough spots and splintered wood. Resembles being made from pallet wood. Very lightweight and perfect for a blanket rack. The legs should probably be cut at an angle to ensure it is stable leaning against the wall. I will likely be doing that soon. I purchased the grey color. The wood appears to be weathered in appearance, not painted. Down the line it may be worth taking some chalk paint to this as well... we will see! Overall very happy!

This product was full of splinters, rails just stapled on, looks like made out of pallet wood. I would not hang anything fabric on this as it would tear the fabric. I don't think the rails could hold a quilt due to rails just stapled on. Not sure if you hung this horizontal if it would even hold anything on it. It did arrive on time and required no assembly. It looks 'rustic' but rustic doesn't mean poor quality. We ended up making our own from 2 1x4's and a closet rod. Much cheaper if you are handy with tools and you can make your own size! Wish we would have done this from the start.

Wonderful way to store extra blankets. Took a star off for the amount of splinters that require sanding/removal, and for one step that was uneven. The steps measure a solid foot in length. My ladder also came with a hole near the upper left edge, obviously caused by a knot in the wood. I quite like it as it gives the ladder a rustic charm; but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The paint from what I can tell is pretty solid. I haven't had any rub off (I've stored ivory blankets on the the black ladder without a hitch).

I ordered this because it is the only shelving that would fit in my tiny city apartment bathroom. It looks nice and it fits a tiny space, so I appreciate that. But boy is this cheaply made. Not worth the amount charged. It's worth maybe $15. The shelves aren't even nailed in, they are stapled in. It is rickety and unstable. It is good enough to hold light, unbreakable things, like decorations, or toiletry items in a bathroom, but it is not sturdy enough to use as real shelves.

Absolutely beautiful decorator ladder. I had a big blank wall next to my tv set and I didn't know what to do with it. One night I was looking at Amazon items and I ran across this ladder so I ordered it thinking it might make a good and interesting way to display pictures and knicks knacks. I was right. The ladder itself is a rustic looking wood resembling reclaimed barnwood. It is an impressive 5 feet tall but very lightweight and easy to hang on the wall. I can't believe it looks this good and it was so reasonably priced. I would have expected to pay at least twice as much.

I bought this to hang some blankets on in my baby's nursery since we had gotten so many as gifts and I had nowhere else to put them all, and this was exactly what I needed. I had read reviews complaining that it's a little flimsy and has splinters that snag blankets, but honestly that was what I expected out of a "rustic" wooden ladder at a cheap price. It's cute, the perfect size for where I wanted it, and I'm careful when taking blankets off so they don't get stuck and have no problems with it otherwise!
