Stainless Steel 304 Cast Pipe Fitting, Coupling, Class 150, 1/2" NPT Female

After buying a 1/2 to 1/2 coupler from a local hardware store that was hideous, bulky, and prevented me from attaching my showerhead securely (due to the bulk), I was very pleased to receive this one. It's very high quality, has a very clean finish, and is quite thin, which allowed me to fully secure it to the shower pipe embedded in my wall. Great.I'll try to upload a pic showing the crappy hardware store one compared to this one... really obvious difference in quality!

This union worked out well in connecting a showerhead to a diverter valve for a hand held shower wand. It does take extra tightening due to the fact that it's stainless , so be sure and use lots of pipe dope or Teflon tape and cinch it down hard ! Looks so much better than a brass or steel union, especially when your matching up to brushed nickel components.

Fits but wish it was longer

I got these because I couldn't find a brushed nickel finished coupling, hoping that they would match closely enough.I think they do. It isn't a perfect match, but pretty close, and up in the shower piping, you don't notice the difference.With proper installation, I don't notice any leakage.

It has good threads and is being used in my mash tun. In case you wanted to know, it is tapered from both ends, it is not threaded all the way through.

Using with a circulatory pump that had the standard 1/2 npt fitting. Using this as an adapter to 1/4 inch vinyl tubing. No complaints, machining quality on the inside is great even if the outside does not look so clean.

nice but had a problem with the threads not matching the pipes. could be my fault though.
