RB-20. Love it. Building a garage with #6 3/4 rebar
The media could not be loaded. I'm building a garage foundation and am using #6 rebar (3/4"). This RB-20 machine bends it effortlessly like butter. Just pull the trigger and the release is a little black arm.One guy made a comment about the machine not being able to bend the rebar 90 degrees. His issue is that he's using the wrong model. He bought the RB-22, which is rated for 7/8" rebar. He's got little 1/4" rebar in there. You can tell the model he has because of the moon-shaped tip. If you're using #4 through #6 rebar, get the RB-20. It's what I bought and does fantastic, just watch the video. The only thing I don't like about the RB-20 is the handle, but I'm sure it's the same handle for all of them. It's hollow plastic. I'm sure if I drop it, it'll break the handle. If it does, I plan on getting something solid, perhaps metal. I'm sure anything would work. The machine also comes pre-filled with hydraulic fluid, so it's literally ready to use too. I really wasn't expecting it, which was great.Overall, I'd give the RB-20 a solid A-. Just make the handle more durable and you've got an excellent piece of equipment! I tried to rent a #6 rebar bender locally, but no one had one! It's fine though. Now I've got one for other projects and can lend it to fam/friends if need be.

This item came quickly
So far so good. We just got this. Sometimes request for reviews come so quickly we don't have time to really put the product to the test.

Legit purchase!
It was expensive but a bargain compared to Home Depot. Got the package fast and started using it to bend the rebars of a foundation. Strong and good work. Time saving!

So easy
I was using a hard edge or a vice to do the bends but this is so much easier when you have multiple bends to make in sequence and when there are a lot of pieces to bend. It works flawlessly. There is absolutely no need for a scale???? The bend is determined based on where you are putting the rebar and what you are making. Just mark the bar if needed and place it center of the bend. The trigger is easy to pull and the actual tool isn't overly heavy. I can operate one handed but definitely do it with two, I'm bad example, OSHA would hate me. I really like the fact this can bend all the rebar diameters I have, my largest is #8. It's held up over about 300pieces varying in diameter with about 900+ bends so far.

ok, but could be a lot better with a few easy features
A few things would be nice. First it really needs a scale on it to know where your at in the bend. Second it would be cool if you can put the retract lever in auto retract so when you let go of the button the ram retracts without having to pull the lever. Really wish they had a cutter built in.One thing to now about this type of bender is that you need a lot of space in front of it if your bending large pieces of rebar. say your bending the last couple feet of a 20 foot rebar, 18 feet of it will want to swing around, or you will have to swing the tool around if you don't can't have the rebar flopping around.
