Quality tube preamp
Great product that does as described, the tubes add a little grit to the sound but that is how tubes are expected to work and ,at least for me, the color and compression were things I was looking for. It also has plenty of gain to give and can drive any dynamic microphone you want and can provide phantom power for any condenser, as well. It works well as a preamp assuming you want that tube functionality in your preamp chain. The buttons feel great, the knobs feel solid. If you want to boost your signal and also add some personality to it, this can do that and for a good price.

Great preamp
Works just like it should. Warm rich audio with dynamic or condenser microphones. Small footprint, no need for large rack.Good quality build, smooth feel to the controls.Highly recommend if you need a small preamp with lots of features.

Very nice, convenient little unit
I needed something simple to connect my Shure 58 mic to the Aux of my guitar amp. After fiddling with a couple adapters with limited success, I ran a high quality XLR female from output of MIC300 to 3.5 mm male into amp and it works fine, with all the volume I need and then some. The 1/4" jack output also works, but I'd recommend using the XLR connection on the MIC300 output with a quality cable and adapting as necessary at the receiving end. Maybe eventually I'll use this for more sophisticated purposes that others describe, but this is exactly what I needed for now.

It does what?
I connected this in tandem with my CAD CX-1 Preamp driving a CAD M179 in hopes that its limiter feature would be good physical hardware alternative to one in software (OBS).Not only did it completely fail to solve this concern (No difference was noticed between the feature being on or off whatsoever), but it reintroduced another issue that I had solved previously! It causes the dreaded ground loop. A buzz heard when the mic is in close proximity and far worse so when touched. Total waste in my case. If I see a demonstration of this that makes a fool of me, I'll reconsider but I don't see that happening. I'll expect refunding.
