STK dependable brand
Update 4/2023,This is the 6th or 7th battery (for multiple cameras: Olympus & Nikons) that I have purchased from STK via Amazon. I just repurchase. Especially for the price I highly recommend. They perform just like the originals, although my original batteries have not needed replacing, they cost 4x more.I just purchased another battery to replace STKs that lasted 7+ years. The original I received was slightly swelled. It is hard to see, but it got stuck in my camera for a few days and then a challenge to get out. Side by side I clearly got a faulty battery but STK responded immediately when I realized a damaged battery cannot be mailed back.STK/Amazon replaced the battery within days. I am happy with the battery I received.I am still using the travel chargers. They are excellent & a great replacement for the bulky one's or wires that come with the cameras.Previous Review:Exactly what I needed for traveling, also bought the charger..cannot tell the difference from the originals. Highly recommend, will only buy STK's for all my equipment.

Good replacement to OEM
I last purchased a spare, in 2015 to the original with the camera which was dated 2009. They last and is still very serviceable after all these years. This new one powered my camera significantly more than the two older ones. I am really glad at the last minute buying this to go on an overseas trip. Came in handy. I doubt I will buy any more due to the obsolescence of old school cameras forced by advances in iPhone cameras and cheap cellular data access virtually everywhere now. But if you need a replacement battery, get this.

The most desirable accessory you can have for your digital camera
I have always found that cameras using proprietary batteries, the battery life is gone long before the photo ops re over. With today's high capacity data storage chips, I always run out of juice long before the image chip is full. These replacement batteries for my Olympus Pen are a perfect replacement in terms of form, fit, and function, and they hold a charge for at least a couple of weeks sitting in my camera bag so I have yet to be left high and dry in terms of available battery power. Without doing a controlled study, I would say they perform with about the same reliability and charge life as the OEM battery. I'm a happy customer.

Great price for a battery that's as good as the original.
I bought this as a second battery for my camera. It is a luxury to have a backup battery that is ready to go at any time, and especially so at such a reasonable price. I now consider having two batteries a necessity while traveling - I never have to worry that my battery will die before the day of picture-taking is over. This battery works as well as the original one does and the reasonable price makes it a no-brainer purchase.

Battery got extremely hot and was about to melt!
I needed a spare battery for my Olympus E-P3 and choose the Sterlingtrek BLS-1 based on prior good experiences with Sterlingtrek products. My Canon 511 clone batteries worked as well as the OEM at 1/4 the price so I was sure this BLS-1 clone would deliver more of the same.Popped it in my Olympus charger and a couple hours later was ready to rock. I stepped out for a shoot and an hour and 30 or 40 pictures later, noticed gritty looking images on the display. The grip and battery door areas were really warm. I figured something was amiss and opened the battery door and was horrified to find the battery extremely hot, likely just short of meltdown or worse. I pried it out--it was slightly swollen--and suspect I pulled it just in time. Let the E-P3 cool down for 30 minutes, installed the OEM battery and continued shooting with a cool and well functioning camera.Sadly this lapse in Sterlingtrek quality control seems to be more than a mere fluke. I also just bought a Sterlingtrek LP-E6 for my 5D MKII and, while not suffering overheating, it doesn't hold a charge for more than a couple days. Sheesh, every manufacturer slips once in a while but two lemons in a row really raises a red flag. So this dawg is on its way back to Amazonville. I'm sure if I bought a few more I'd eventually get a good one--many reviewers certainly did--but with two strikes I decided to walk and bought an OEM battery. To add final insult to injury, I was accessed a "Restocking Fee Refund Deduction" of $2.40 after I returned the battery, albeit I explained it overheated and was defective. I assume the vender, STK, is responsible for the fee and all I can say is Sterlingtrek lost a long term customer due to poor quality control and crappy customer service (restocking fee for defective battery). I complained to Amazon and they retracted the restocking fee but, sheesh, STK needs to improve or they'll be on the skids.

Definitely higher capacity than the original
Looks, feels and fits like OEM, and even charges in the default charger. It lasts noticeably longer than the Olympus battery that came with my camera. In my case, "the whole day" vs. 3/4 of it on a recent vacation. That said, my E-PL1 didn't seem to know how to handle the battery in its indicator. Sometimes I would properly get the low bettery warning, other times my camera would just die in mid-operation. It's a quirky surprise, but not a deal breaker by any means.

Performs well
I bought this battery as a spare for my Olympus PEN E-P3. At first I had a bit of trouble getting the original Olympus charger to charge it - it seemed there was some spiel there and I had to snap it in just so in order for it to begin charging. But once I got it right, it charged up fine. Operation is flawless and the battery lasts long. Great price and performance - what is not to like?
