Gave up on our contractor getting this hardware kit for new windows that were installed. Perfect!

as advertised.

The picture, including on Andersen's website, shows a plastic housing that is for older windows (lower height). The actual housing, depicted accurately on the packaging, is higher and will not fit the older style (pre-1999). Rather than go through the hassle of returning it (Amazon has always been good about returns) I decided to keep it as I can trim the housing if I want but I can also use it to evaluate other alternatives - I have 20+ blinds to consider. One thing I did recognize is that if the window handles are positioned upwards with the windows closed (handles are easy to take off and reseat) our blinds will go all the way down and not hang on the handles, which is the ultimate low cost solution ($0).

As the headline says these are great additions to our windows, we can put the blinds all the way down without the handles getting in the way.I gave this seller a negative review because when I went to purchase more handles the price (15% Higher) had changed. It turns out Amazon will direct you to a different seller for some reason. After looking over and over I found this seller again and his price did not change.My apologizes to the seller.

The product was exactly what I expected. Good quality and easy installation.

This hardware worked perfectly with the Anderson Window we recently bought that didn't have the hardware included. My only disappointment was that all the pieces weren't metal, but still look nice and function wonderfully.

Doesn't stay in place.
