Sloppy fit in the bored hole.
This product will work for its intended use, but there is one thing that I wish was better. It is supposed to be made to fit a 1-1/2" hole, however, it fits sloppy, (very loosely) in the bored hole. The item has ridges on it that is supposed to hold the item snuggly in the hole, but it doesn't. I had to wrap duct tape a couple times around the outside ridges to get it to hold snuggly in the hole. I give you this information in case a sloppy fit doesn't work for you. Other than that, after the slight modification, it will fit my need. I used a hole saw boring tool. Perhaps a paddle bore would have offered a tighter fit.

It was perfect for what I needed. I made the mistake of drilling a hole without realizing that I should have kept size in mind so I searched all over for something that would fit and this fit like a glove. Worked well and it looks good. It is a little furniture piece I made with a built in electrical fireplace.
