SHARP!
Sooooo I was playing with it but i accidentally rubbed it past my thumb. Lucky me i had no pressure behind the blade but still enough apparently to cut myself.I'm fine btw just impressed. I'll admit, i figured it wouldn't be that sharp but WOW any deeper and I would've started bleeding.

Decent for the price
I purchased the purple starry sky and after a couple weeks the paint started rubbing off on the tip of it. Other than that, still pretty sharp and a good knife.

Terrible
I've purchased knives from this brand before and the other were good for what you paid but this one is by far the worst knife I've ever bought. It came dulled like someone had taken sand paper to the tip of it and the blade itself isn't sharp at all. The sheath itself is small and simple and holds the knife, over all a good sheath but the knife is terrible. It's mainly eye candy.

Totally unnecessary and totally cool
I ordered the starry sky version. With respect to utility, ummmm, no. It simply isn't a useful tool. It's too curved for normal cutting, not curved enough to be a good gutting hook. It just looks cool and is fun to have around. The build quality is surprisingly good because you'd expect a gimmick knife at this price point to be poorly made from weak materials. This thing has a full tang with a solidly attached handle. Not only that, the handle fits my hand wonderfully. The manufacturer says the steel is "stainless steel" - that means it's just cut from a sheet of regular old stainless and is not one of the good knife steels. If it were a good steel, they'd brag. That said, regular stainless will certainly do the job.

A cool and useful blade
The paint job is cool, and has stayed on, despite a good deal of use. It came really sharp, and I use it as a general purpose knife, it cuts open packages mostly. But has been used on lots of other things in and around the home and outdoors. It's stayed sharp enough, which is good, as I don't look forward to sharpening such a strange shape. It's been good quality, especially for the price point. The sheath works, but isn't the best I've had.

Strong and well built; mediocre sheath; artwork that appeals to some but not all.
This karambit caught my attention because of the price point and the rather unique blade artwork. The fit and finish are superb and the blade feels thick and robust, not too light, and not heavy. The handle is not flimsy as I had expected it (most bargain karambits suffer in this department), and it fits the hand well unless you have giant hands. Granted there are not many uses for a karambit aside from last ditch personal protection or maybe cutting rugs, and in the vein of personal protection the sheath is a neck carry sheath. The sheath retention may make such carry possible, but in my opinion it has the potential to fail. If you shake the knife by the sheath it will not come out, however when you do so by the shoelace lanyard the added leverage will make it come lose. Granted it was quite the shake, however like all things with time it will become a bit lose and that could be a problem. An option to carry on the belt, or attachment points to add a belt loop would have made this perfect and barely add to the cost. Also extreme caution must be taken when sheathing the blade as the sheath is quite thin, and if not paying attention you could end up slicing a digit or two. The artwork on the blade seems to be some type of dip graphic that is not peeling and looks to be well applied. Up close I think it looks a bit tacky and detracts from the robust look of the blade. I have shown it to others who like it so it is a matter of personal taste, and I may end up stripping it; an option with no artwork would be welcome. This blade is trying to find the golden balance between a well built knife, and its neck sheath. It succeeds in the ergonomics, and feels robust. Sadly the mediocre sheath is its Achilles heel. A thicker, and sturdy sheath equipped with options to belt carry and an extra retention point would have made this a 5 star product. However the fit and finish, plus the aesthetics that appeals to some, merit the 4 stars.
