The contrast shade is more fawn or buff than gold but otherwise is as described.It takes dye well (I wanted it redder).A higher thread count or different grade cotton would be far more costly. I'm very happy with this for the price.

This would look very nice, however, the material isn't very soft and creases a lot. It's impossible to iron out the creases. Also there are quite a few imperfections in the pattern. Would not recommend.

Took delivery of this duvet set which arrived in the transparent wrapping it comes in, which was maybe a good thing as I could see straight away that the colours were very very faded, nothing like the picture on amazon, it looked like it had been through the wash a million times it was colour faded so badly, the material looked like that cheap see through cottony material so I done a return, not sure what's going on with amazon but the quality of the products just isn't there anymore , to the point I'm cancelling my prime because even the TV side of amazon is rubbish now I wouldn't recommend anyone buying this product I'm an honest reviewer so steer clear
