I purchased this as a spare because I mute adverts on my TV and fear I'll wear out the button on my original remote

is direct replacement for the unit that was broken. it was a big relief to get a replacement as i have had the unit for a long time. it works just fine.

I bought this to replace the original remote which has a poor connection and needs massaging to get it to work. Sadly this one is no better so it is a built in fault. Very frustrating as the Freeview box is excellent
