The Most Effective Pest Remover I've Ever Used
Since Spring began, my house has been plagued by ants. I've tried numerous products, including bait and liquid traps, to 'kill the colony' and solve the problem for good, but they just keep coming back. I keep everything clean, scrub the floors to remove the trail, but they just keep forming a line from my door to my trash can like magic. I decided I'd give this Mighty Mint spray a try, and I'm honestly shocked at how effective it is.The bottle and spray nozzle are good quality, and the instructions on the side are bold, clear, and easy to follow. After a vigorous shake, I was ready to use it in under 60 seconds of opening the package. As a contact killer, it works fantastic. The ants immediately fell as soon as the spray made contact. I sprayed along the line they'd formed, all around the trash can, and put a heavy amount on the entrance point at the door. The smell is quite strong, but it's a pleasant peppermint scent. My cat was already cordoned off in a room on the other side of the house, but be sure to keep your pets away until it dries. The scent does linger for quite some time, though again, it's pleasant to most humans. The ants are completely gone. I don't know if they'll show back up eventually, but this spray certainly beats putting out traps and waiting a few days for them to have the intended effect. Mighty Mint gets rid of the problem NOW and it's going to be my go-to product if I ever have to deal with this again!

Immediate killshot
Will all due respect to the role ants worldwide play in helping to clean up the environment by recycling dead things, I don't want them in my kitchen or in pet food bowls that are outside for several hours. The active ingredient in this is 3% peppermint oil and 1% geraniol (a germanium-derived terpene that has insecticidal properties and is safe for use around humans and pets). I have sprayed Mighty Mint on the exterior walls and around the back step which is by my kitchen. The good new is: no ants! The bad news is: they find other ways to get into my kitchen, ways that I often cannot pinpoint their egress point. Thus, I have to loose the murder squad on the counters and floor. For ant bait, I use the viscous Terro, applying it when I discover a full blown invasion. As they are eating that, whenever I see any scouts, instead of squashing them (which apparently causes them to issue a jet of pheromone telling the others "something good is over here! come quick!"), I set Mighty Mint on Stream and squirt the scout. They stagger a few steps and then stop. Forever.Since I don't know exactly how long it takes them to die, I leave the little carcass sitting in the little puddle of peppermint for 30 min or so, then wipe it up. I use a foaming spray dishwashing soap product that I then spray on the kill zone and spot clean the counter that way. Ditto the floor if that's where the intruder got nailed.I do keep a wastebasket next to my counter into which all my compostable plant and animal scraps go. I don't have a garbage disposal, so the screen covering the drain catches bits of animal protein which I scrape into the compost bin, too. When I put in the latter, I will turn the Might Mint to Spray and spray a bit in there, just in case any ant is close enough to catch wind of the bits of tuna or chicken or whatever.I haven't tried spraying this into an ant hill (or the tiny opening in the ground where I see ants coming and going in a steady stream so I know there's an underground colony. I do put Terro near them as I think that will be more effecting in killing them underground, but Might Mint is definitely worth trying if you have dogs or small children that may be attracted to an anticide like Terro, Contact, Raid and other solid or semi-solid baits.Note for those who are chemically sensitive: There is a lot of peppermint oil in Mighty Mint (3% peppermint oil and 1% geraniol which also has insect-repellent properties). It catches my breath when I have to Spray more than once. The single Stream shot to kill a scout isn't a problem for me, but Spraying the compost can be as can Spraying a stream of ants marching en masse across the counter. While the invasion needs to be fought while it is happening, when it comes to dissuading them from invading my compost bin, I typically do that at night before I leave the kitchen for the last time; by morning, the smell is gone.I've got this on Subscribe and Save because, no matter how effective it is, the ants do what ants do so I know there will be future incursions that will need to be dealt with.

This doesn't work at all - can't kill or repel ants.
I have ants that get into my space, and have been in my space since I sprayed. I thought this would be a good deterrent for indoors, but it doesn't work. I have sprayed it directly on ants for them to literally still move while soaked with the spray. It doesn't kill them on contact, and if it does its not fast enough. I have gone through half the bottle and Its only been a couple days since I last sprayed. I am not happy about this. This claimed to repel and keep ants at bay and that it was safe for pets. Its not safe for pets either. Peppermint is toxic to cats and dogs especially when ingested, and peppermint is a repellant for birds. The smell itself is toxic for cats, can cause allergic reactions. I only learned about this through friends who have cats and told me it wasn't safe when I told them about it. The smell itself is pleasant, but its strong, and with it being this strong, and not lasting long enough its not a good alternative to be rid of ants. They still keep coming in.Do not buy this product for its intended purpose. It doesn't work. It doesn't repel ants, and it most certainly doesn't kill them. The store product description says its safe for pets but it isn't. Find another product.

Very strong scent which is nice, doesn't really work for me
The scent is really nice, it's very potent, and I expected it to work, but it didn't work as a killer. It worked more as a repeller, which is okay too, but it doesn't necessarily kill the ants I was trying to take out with this. I'll be using it as a repeller, but will just pair it instead with a stronger killer. I think using it as a combo sort of spray will be better
