Bought this for my dog’s crate. This was so convenient and sturdy. After screwing it onto the crate, we never had a problem with it falling or slipping and our dog is very active even in the crate. She’s bumped into it and it still stays in place. If you plan on putting water into it, I’d suggest not filling it all the way up depending on how active a pet you have. But it’s very nice and we liked it a lot.

I've over the years had many of these for various different animals. I've used them in my dog/cat crates and or kennels.I have some really rowdy dogs so when I'm gone they get into mischief, I'll put them in their kennels with food and water using these dishes so they are still happy with me when I get home and I'm of course still happy my house is in tact.Just so everyone who hasn't used them is fully aware:They can be hard to pull out of their slot, never try to do it with water in them it will slosh all over you or the floor. Wait till the water is empty then pull it out because it is really a hard tug.This makes them very secure however not allowing your dog/cat to jump on them slap with the paws and knock them out of the holder.They can get to where they lean down a tad, not much just enough to say hmm they are not level anymore. That's generally from the dog resting their chin while eating, drinking etc and if you lower it a bit that tends to not happen so much.They are very sturdy keeping in mind what I said above about them tending to lean if your dog puts a lot of weight on them.I've never had any issues they work great, I can get two on the door area for easy filling and removing.They are easy to clean once you get them out.Over all if you are looking for a dish system for your dog or cats crate or kennel this will do the trick!

So I have a Ferret and in his cage he needs to have food available 24/7 unlike many other pets. But ferrets are crazy and mess things up so a regular bowl at the bottom means ferret food knocked out all over including outside of the cage so I needed something sturdy, ferrets are surprisingly strong and if they want to knock something over they will make time to do it! Aside from sturdy I didn't want something I hadTo unscrew every time I need to fill up with food or clean his bowl so I gave this item a shot and it’s awesome! It locks in so tight that there’s no way he’s knocking this out of the holder, however it does make it a little hard to get out for cleaning and I imagine someone who’s not really strong or has arthritis is going to have a hard time with this so it’s a double edge sword and also why I gave it 4 starts instead of 5! Depending on who watches my ferret when I’m out of town it may be hard for them to get his bowl out.The stainless steel for cleaning is great as I just throw it in with the rest of my dishes in the dishwasher.It’s simple, it’s relatively inexpensive and works.

Using it for my almost 1 year kitten. Very sturdy and went perfect in his enclosure. I’d say it was an easy installation and it is a bit tight when trying to pull the bowl out but I don’t mind since that means the bowl will be staying in place the whole time :)

I feed my husky in his crate because my other dog will steal his food if I don't. We have been securing the dish to his crate bars so it doesn't sit on his bed. However when we're leaving and he's frustrated he likes to abuse his food dish. He kept breaking another style that I had so I decided to try this one. It works great. Because the dish just snaps in, he can snap it out and throw it all over his crate in anger without busting the holder. Husky going to husky but I swear I'm close to outmaneuvering him!

Pro's: the design is great and one of the only bowls I've found to fit my dogs kennel (it has thicker/wider bars than the typical wire type kennels). It's also super sturdy, which is important because my pup paces in there some time and will always knock food/water over.Cons: the stickers on the bottom of the bowls are absolutely garbage. They don't pull off, and the top layer is plastic so soaking it doesn't even do it a lot of good. Just to be able to use them (I ordered two different sizes) after an initial soak in hot water didn't do anything; I had soaked them, ran them through the dishwasher, soaked again overnight when the dishwasher didn't work, and then still had to scrape it off with a plastic scraper.For a product that's sole purpose is for an animal to eat/drink out of that seems like a pretty big oversight.
