Highly recommend- but read at exactly 2 minutes and only then!
I made the mistake of reading these at the 3+ minute mark and ended up dumping good milk (I should have read the directions a bit closer!) when used correctly they are accurate! ;) Read at the 2 minute mark exactly and go off that reading. Once it’s over 2 minutes the color may change and give a false result

Strips do not work
Beware of these test strips. I personally do not think they work. I used them many times and the strip never changes color no matter how many drinks I’ve had. The most drinks I have had and tested on was 3(1 beer, a cocktail, and a glass of wine) to which I surely had a buzz but wanted to test the strips out. I did not give my baby the milk even though the strip appeared to be okay. I put one strip directly into a beer and no color change. Ever since I bought these I’ve been unsure about them so I never gave my baby the milk I produced after a drink or few. So not only did I waste money on these strips, I also possibly wasted milk but I would rather be safe than sorry. I wish I would have looked more closely at the poor reviews. I just saw 4 stars and thought that was good enough. Get a better and more effective brand before possibly poisoning your poor baby.

They work and are great for peace of mind!
They definitely work! I had been drinking a glass to 1.5 glasses at a time of wine. It always came up negative even while I drank and pumped. But I had a good bit more tonight and man that strip turned dark brown. So I definitely had alcohol in there. Hated to pour out 3 oz but happy I knew to not give it to my baby. Love having these around.

Easy to Use and Give Peace of Mind
These strips are a fast, easy, affordable way to have a little more peace of mind on the breastfeeding journey. My husband and I enjoy an occasional wine tasting, so I keep a few of these in the diaper bag -- they offer an easy way to "check in" and be sure everything is all right before pumping or nursing. Would recommend!

The color never changes
No matter how many drinks I had, the test results did not change. The test strips were inaccurate. With my first baby, the Frida mom test strips worked.

PSA!!! Misleading Instructions
These work great and I love the product, however, I made a very important discovery that I think consumers need to know! The directions say you can either submerge your test strip into your breast milk as long as the container is a clean container, OR you can express milk directly onto the test strip. I had 2 glasses of wine, and was planning to pump and dump regardless, but wanted to test my milk to see if it would show on the test strip. I dipped the test strip into the milk for 3 seconds (as directed) and it was negative. Knowing that couldn’t be right, I opened another test strip and expressed directly onto the strip, and it was positive. These tests were performed 2 minutes apart. The top result was from dipping the test strip, the bottom result is from expressing the milk from breast to test strip.Long story short, if you want an accurate test, express your milk directly from breast to test strip!

Gives me peace of mind!
I used these 1.5 years ago when I was BF my son, and now I am using them again with my newborn. I think of anything it just gives me a peace of mind knowing that I can have a drink or 2 and still check my milk to make sure I’m not giving my baby alcohol infused breast milk. The strip will definitely change color if there is alcohol present.
