Effective
Be VERY light handed. A little goes a long way. It takes 5-10 min to reach full thickening power. Too much and it's slimy/snotty like Xanthum gum.

As described
The tub lid wasn't on properly and leaked powder all in the bag, coating my other items.

Decent thickener
I've been using this almost exclusively to thicken sauces and soups. For that it has worked great! It doesn't add much in the way of flavor, but I wasn't expecting it to. It seems a little pricier than the competition. Is it worth it? Since this is the only Konjac gum I've ever used, others would be better equipped to answer that. Comes in a screw top jar that sits nicely in the pantry until needed.

Konjac the Almost Zero Calorie Food
I’ve have Konjac in Japan before. Usually it is in a block like form and added to various dishes. One thing about it is that it is very low in calories and a good diet food as it is very filling. There isn’t much taste with Konjac so you can mix it with what ever you are cooking.I’ve also had noodles made of it and they were pretty good. Same as like a tofu block but it was much more firm. Almost chewy. This flour is more of the base ingredient that you would use to make noodles etc.You really need to follow the directions and if you add too much water it can become gooey.

A little goes a long way
I love konjac pasta and wanted to try my hand at making low-carb wonton wrappers. I haven't attempted that yet, but I have added this to my smoothies to add fiber and make them more satisfying. I tried protein powders, but they always left me feeling nauseous. Knowing that I tolerate konjac well, I decided to try this. It's flavorless when it's mixed in with fruits and greens. I've looked at some other products to get an idea of value for the money. This is at a higher price point than similar products. The company indicates that this is higher in dietary fiber than other products, but when I compared the nutrition information, they were similar. It's about twice as much per ounce as comparable products.

Cornstarch alternative
Hello friends, I selected this bailinhou pure konjac gum flour for thickening, soups and sauces. The bulk of the house is either keto or gluten free, so I got this flour to thicken, soups and sauces. I like that it doesn't add any carbs for the keto people and is gluten free for the gluten-free people. You have to be careful with it just like xanthan gum. If you use any you have to sprinkle it lightly and let it soak in. Then wait to see what your results are. I've used it in soup and spaghetti sauce so far. It thickened it just enough so that it wasn't super runny. I haven't tried to over thicken something to a gravy for example, but I'll get there eventually. For now, this is a nice alternative to cornstarch.

goes a long way
Being vegan, I bake and cook almost everything myself. Please use this powder very carefully, as little usually is enough to thicken up your liquid. Give it up to 10 min before you adjust and add more, in order to get the right consistence. The powder is tasteless and will last you a long way, since only little is needed.
