It is not very heavy empty. The heaviness depends on what you put in the case.

Q: are the wheels rubber or plastic? Also, will it hold up to daily walks on pavement and bricks?

Wheels are plastic but they are doubles (2 each side) mine has made many trips and dine very well. Even rolls threw grass pretty well. I've been very pleased

Dimensions not sure... padding, yes there's foam padding in every "drawer".
