This is good stuff
I am very happy with the outcome of using this. Just a word of caution though WEAR GLOVES! This stuff is extremely difficult to get off of your skin! I tried every solvent known to man and nothing worked! Pure acetone was the only thing that had any affect at all and it took so long to start breaking up the paint on my hands that it was starting to take the skin off too! Other than that I would strongly recommend this product. It looks great when it's done and should last a long time

Better than expected.
This stuff is pretty amazing. I had a trailer hitch that was rusting away, sandblasted and rewelded. They wanted $200 to powder coat but I think that would have been a waste. I decided to give this stuff a try over por 15. I got to say I am very happy. I applied the paint to a warm surface and left it in a low humidity high heat environment overnight. It dried rock hard. I don't think the stuff is ever going to come off which is good. I got a little bit on my skin and I doubt that'll ever come off either. I applied three coats at 2-hour intervals. The smell isn't as strong as I expected and once dried there was no odor at all. Whatever brushes you use will probably end up in the garbage because this stuff is impossible to remove so make sure you have a bunch ready. You must stir the can and avoid shaking it. If you shake the can you have to let it sit for 24 hours to settle then stir. I only used less than half a quart to do the entire trailer hitch which is massive. A little bit goes a long way. I will use the remainder to touch up some of the underside components on my Toyota.

Purchased product after using Por 15,Eastwoods Chassis Black ,and rustoleum black.Sand blasted small frame components as upper and lower a frames, spindles etc..Cleaned parts with 4 parts distilled white wine vinegar and 1 part mineriel free water.available at most grocery stores.(pieces were to bare metal no epoxy primer, sealer, etc.) mixed chassis black 8 oz. to .750 oz. of s8 reducer.mixed well.Used a Harbor Fr---t cheap ($ 16) hvlp 1.4 paint gun.4" fan and 35 lbs pressure at the gun ,not the nozzle.Temperature was 80*f in the shop with the ac on.Results; smooth, run free, high gloss, mirror finish.harf to the touch 2 hours after shooting.Appearence and gloss are A-1 quality.Exceeds the other 3 products in all areas.price, ease of applying.etc..Warning; Follow safety cautions to the letter.Dressed out with a long sleeve hoody, long denim paints, face mask and a quality respirator.took 30 minutes to spray frame,34 ford coupe, upper, lower a-frame,torsion arrms and 2 coats on the narrowed rear, plus shot the entire frame .All with 1 coat.Used only 8 ounces 1 ounce of s-8.finish is superb.have enough left over to do a second coat Monday.Very very impressed with this product.Highly recommend it.Will post photos Monday

Chassis Saver is great, but with Caveats.
I have used Chassis saver for many years and in my opinion, there is nothing better. This stuff sticks to pretty much everything. All you have to do is clean off dirt and loose rust and you are good to go. It is a relatively slow curing paint, so it will smooth itself some if painted on with a brush, or you can thin it out and spray with a spray gun. (I would not use your good quality gun though). Now for the Caveats:- There is no UV protection, so it will turn a gray color after it has been exposed to the sun for a while. This is not a real problem as you can rattle can paint over the top and avoid this.- If you open the can, make sure you thoroughly clean the surfaces of the lid and the top of the can, then cover the top of the can with plastic before putting the lid back on. If you fail to do this, you will never get the lid back off of the can.- it doesn't really work well on bare metal. You are better to prime your surface before using this.- If you get this on your skin, it will stay there for the next week or so. This stuff really sticks to anything it contacts. These are very minor things to tolerate for a product that coats and protects metal extremely well

Good coverage
This chassis paint offers extremely good coverage and looks to be very durable and should provide optimum anti-corrosion capability when applied to the underbody of vehicles or as applied to other items affected by outdoor environmental factors. I used it to paint new rear leaf springs to my MGB prior to installation. Since I had the can open, my wife asked that I repaint her wrought iron patio furniture and we were very pleased with the coverage and the look. One should note, this paint is very hard when dry and the manufacturer advises caution that the paint can glue steel together. So if there is any paint residue on the edge of the can when storing any unused portion, one should realize that it is very difficult to remove the cover when attempting to use the paint on a subsequent paint session. I would advise that you purchase only what you can use in one or two coats as it will dry inside the can once opened unless you place a reducer in the can to cover the remainder of the paint after the container is opened.

Easy to apply product
Applied it to a very rusty truck frame. Didn’t have to use any reducers as it was very thin and spread easily. Seemed to be absorbing well to all spots on the frame if the was rust or old paint we scuffed up.
