Perfect for so many occasions
This was an awesome deal! I already owned one of these shirts which has served me well through trips to Alaska, and various hiking and travels all around the country. It is my go-to base layer. It looks nice on its own, and absolutely serves its purpose under any type of clothing. It keeps me warm when it’s cold and nice and cool when it’s warmer. The best part is that because of its wool qualities it stays in great shape even between washes! I wore it several different days during a cross country road trip and after setting it out at bedtime, by the next morning it was fresh as new! That is my favorite quality about merino wool! It is soft and not itchy, trim and not bulky, and keeps me warm while still being breathable and never too hot. I am such a fan of this brand and will probably buy even more so I can wear them more on the daily (instead of just as cold weather/hiking/traveling wear). I definitely needed to get another one so I bought this set because what a deal to get not only the shirt and pants but also the hat and socks! All set now! I will note that these do run a bit large. I am usually around a M/L in size, after reading the comments when I bought my first shirt I bought a M and it fit great! It was fitted with a bit of room to spare. When I bought this set, seeing as it comes with bottoms (I am a true L in bottoms) I bought L this time to try it out. It was a bit baggy and quite roomy. Would make for great pajamas! Maybe a little too loose for base layers or on their own. If I were to buy another pair of these I would def size down again and get M for both top and bottom. Overall, I am so happy with this brand and highly recommend!

Invest in your warmth!
Helps this mom play outside without getting cold during winter months/snowy days! Love the hat and socks it came with, all is comfortable, fits great, stretchy, good quality! I wasn’t originally going to buy it because it’s pricey, but I’m happy I did! The investment in a little self love was worth it!

Warm and Functional, but a Bit Itchy
The MerinoTech Base Layer does an excellent job of keeping me warm in cold weather. It’s lightweight yet insulating, making it perfect for layering without feeling bulky. The moisture-wicking properties are great, keeping me dry and comfortable even during outdoor activities. That said, the fabric is a little itchier than I expected, especially when worn directly against the skin. It’s not unbearable, but if you have sensitive skin, you might want to wear a thin layer underneath.Overall, it’s a solid base layer—warm, breathable, and well-made. If you can handle a bit of itchiness, it’s definitely worth it for the warmth and performance!

Great bang for your buck
After 1 year of use: My husband and myself each bought a set of these last year before a camping trip. We had been researching for hours about what brand to buy. Normally, we are big, smartwool fans, but for budget reasons, and after reading the reviews for these, we decided to go with these. We got the 320 weight. I am 5’ 7”, 160 lbs, size 8, and have a big butt. I got the medium and they fit good. If you were between sizes, I would definitely recommend sizing down because a large would’ve been way too big for me. If you are on a budget and looking for an affordable, well made, durable, non-shrinking, no odor, moisture wicking and comfortable set we highly recommend these. They have held up extremely well For multiple camping and hunting trips over the last year. I have washed them several times in mild detergent with cold water on a delicate cycle and air dried. They still look almost new. We went on one trip that was nearly 2 weeks long wearing these pretty much every day and by the end of it, they didn’t even stink! My only complaint might be the fit and layering ability. Other brands like smartwool, have a more smooth and seamless waistband and are more fitted than these pants. The top would layer good, but the bottoms wouldn’t layer well under tighter clothing. They also would not look good as standalone pants. The ankle openings kind of flare out and like I said the waistband is not flattering at all. But I mostly wear them layered under my overalls or bulky hunting pants. Also, If you need extreme warmth for well below freezing temperatures, you may want to consider another brand that has A higher weight option like 400+. These have been perfectly warm and fine for us because we are staying very active while wearing them, And layer them with plenty of other warm clothing. While camping in 20-30° weather, I wore these by themselves as pajamas and stayed perfectly toasty. If you will be in subzero temperatures, I would recommend a harder core more expensive brand.

Great value merino wool set
My first pair of merino wool thermals, kept me warm, comfortable and stink free all through my week long Finland trip in March. Very good value for what you get including the bottom layer, top laver, and even a pair of merino socks!

Love!! Maintained perfect temperature while skiing!
Excellent product! Very comfortable. Not itchy at all. Maintained perfect temperature on my recent ski trip to Montana. The mountain temperature ranged from 20-40F and I felt perfect! Didn’t get sweaty on the warmer days and was cozy on the chilly days with the same layers on. Fit true to size.I’m definitely recommending to friends. Well worth the price!

great base layer
very comfortable and warm, can definitely tell the difference in a true merino wool vs other layers. truly cuts the wind and cold without being too heavy.
