Q: What are the bristles made out of on the brown set?

The description on Amazon just says food grade bristles and no BPA. I don't remember there being anything about the material on the container they came in. I have the other set, and the bristles seem to be nylon. They are nice brushes, though. My only criticism is that the smallest ones do not have bristles on the tips, and that would be helpful for a couple things I use them for.

Q: Will they bend? Want to clean a humidifier. Small opening. Need to bend 90 degrees.

I have the skinny brush for cleaning straws, and it is very flexible. I have not tried a 90 degree bend, but I think that would be fine.

Q: will they scratch plastic bottles?

These bottle brushes do not scratch plastic containers.

Q: The description says "food grade" but are they synthetic or natural bristle? I don't care one way or the other but would like to know?

I'm going to guess...man~made material. the handle, tho', is natural wood.. hth
