O**T
Cable is not 10mm diameter as shown in photo - it's 8mm!
As the product's own marketing material states - it's "extremely adequate for outdoor use". Well, so far nothing has melted or exploded, which I suppose you have to classify as extremely adequate (after all, it is made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, which is the same stuff that Iron Man's suit is made of). However, though cable clips are supplied with this unit, you only get 8, which isn't many for a 10m cable. One of Amazon's product photos above shows the cable being 10mm diameter, so I bought a separate pack for that size. Yeah I shouldn't really have been surprised to discover that the cable diameter is actually 8mm. Fortunately, at least the supplied ones do fit the cable perfectly. Annoyingly however, I now have to exchange my extra clips for a pack of 8mm ones. It's the kind of thing that leaves a bad taste in the mouth. And that's even if you fry them in a little oil first. Why are the descriptions/photos on these things always so hilariously unreliable? As anyone who is sad enough to spend hours comparing the 10 different versions of these things will know, some of the photos strain credulity. (Though I have to say, I personally admire CNBingo's, Greenbang's and Xpork's electrical products - no, really, check them out - but I have a sneaking suspicion they're all made by the same Chinese manufacturer). I mean, some of the "waterproof" photos I've seen make it look like these things would survive a biblical deluge, or can be used on a submarine. They seem to be suitable for everything from Christmas Lights to the Large Hadron Collider. At least they all seem to share a useful feature which, interestingly, all manufacturer's have thoughtfully provided: namely, a lock to prevent electricity theft. I presume this must be rife in China - several photos show a man in a balaclava attempting to nick someone's current. While this is welcome, I would have preferred either for the unit to detect this and produce a loud alarm, or, preferably, to temporarily significantly increase the voltage.
