Summary and review
First thing I did notice was quite a few typos and grammar flaws but that is not anything that can't be over looked. The introduction is quite lengthy but it also dips into the history of herbalism and of witchcraft. Even providing time lines. The why and how to grow your own herbs. Helping to identify your zone, best soil, soil makeup, and compost (gives you directions on how to build your own compost). Then it gets into easy to grow medical and magickal herbs. Each herb lists its grow info, zone, needs, parts used, folklore and magical use (will sometimes provide simple tiny spells), also food and medicine use. This section is then followed by the poison garden; now this, I find fascinating and it does give you fair warning about the use of these plants. Be cautious, I mean it is called the poison garden after all. It will give you a brief history on each herb, it's effects, and performed growing methods. Next is foraging; this starts with the basics of safety, when, where, and how. Also equipment and tools to use. Then we move onto common forageable herbs, regions where they are found, habitats, identification, parts used, and as before with growing herbs it has folklore and magick, and food and medicine uses. Finally finishing off the book with remedies, spells, rituals, and the wheel of the year. With a few very beautiful and colorful illustrated images of a some of the herbs. Of course as with any book, you will also get acknowledgements, notes, and an index.Wild Witchcraft is quite a bit of a heavy wordy book but nonetheless it is absolutely packed with great, useful information that I find both intriguing and very helpful.I hope that this review helps those that may be interested in this book.

This has been what I was looking for
I started looking into witchcraft way back in the '70s because of their celebrations of the seasons. But often it is more about changing the world to fit ourselves, instead of finding our connection to the world around us. Over the years I've bought a few books that have a page or two about nature, then go into meditation or altars or anything but nature. Even books that claim they are about nature are usually not.But this book fits us into be a part of nature, where our sacred comes from our connection to, not our control over, the natural world all around. We can tell by Ms Beyer's writing that she has that connection, unlike most authors, and she gives us hints on how we can also do this.As a forager myself, we can learn to feel the energies around us to know when the maples sap is rising, or can taste on the air when the wild rice has ripened for knocking, or smell the coming frost to know when to harvest the last of the tomatoes by living with the spirits around us.For the first time in a long time I felt like I was reading from a witch who was connected to the ever moving energies of the seasons. I would highly recommend this book to those witches who want to know their corner of the world on an intimate level, where magic happens.

Perfect Gift
My Sister loved this book. She read some to me and the way it is written is so beautiful. She did say that she wishes all the pictures were in color. But the illustrations are still beautiful none the less. I told her to color the Illustrations herself and I think she liked that idea.

I love the book! But when I received it it was not New :(
The book is great, especially if you are into herbalism and witchcraft. My only issue is the book I received had been highlighted in, I ordered a new hardback copy. And received a used copy with yellow highlighter and bent corners. :(

Enables you to feel at home in your spirituality
I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful this book is. I’ve struggled with my spirituality for a very long time and reading this book really helped allow me to start feeling comfortable with it. I always felt very lost in Modern Witchcraft, but this book really brings it all to a more cohesive state in my mind with of course allowing it to stay whimsical and flexible as it should. The respect for the people who compiled the information in centuries past really is the final nail on the coffin for me in solidifying this as one of, if not the, best witchcraft books I have ever read.

Beautifully written
You can tell the author put in a TON of time doing research and using a TON of various sources. I appreciate all the hard work they did. The dedication is just...heart warming to say the least. I'm just starting my reading but it is so good I don't want to put it down. It's the first physical book I've purchased in a while and now I remember how much I love the feel of a real book and not just my e-reader all the time lol. If you're even slightly interested in foraging, give this book a try. Yes there is witchcraft in it but the overall lesson is how to forage and what to do with what you find.
