What a great and insightful book. A new twist on some age old lessons and reaffirmation of things I have read in the past.

Sometimes overcoming resistance to change and creating a breakthrough is as simple as adding eggs to a recipe. This book provides detailed information that will help diagnose a problem related to a desired change and how to overcome the resistance.

Their 4 frictions idea is a great way to explain an old story. What is best are the practical solutions that follow explanations of each friction. THAT is not something you see everyday.With support from Adam Grant, the authors of the Business Model Generation book series, the kudos are well deserved.If you are not deep in the research behind market forces and causing change, this is a very solid introduction. For those well versed in the arts, it is an interesting read of stuff you already know, with the useful addition of the practical steps, which you probably know too.

The Human Element really concentrates on what makes all businesses tick - the people. The style is incredibly accessible as the authors avoid jargon to make all feel welcome in the learnings. In fact, I was quick to lend it to other departments of our company as I felt everyone from customer support to engineering could benefit. My instincts were right.
