I was looking for a Bible translation version in Brazilian Portuguese to help me learn the language. This book fit my need perfectly. Please note that this is *not* the KJV in Portuguese as other reviews have said. It is a translation from Greek and Hebrew source texts. Additionally, this is an Evangelical Bible, not a Roman Catholic Bible. So you will not find the Apocrypha here. Aside from the translators’ footnotes, there are no commentary, maps, or appendices.As to book quality, this is not a fancy edition. The spine is glued with a paperback cover. Paper quality is good with very readable opacity considering 1,000 pages are packed into this trade paperback format.If you are looking for a basic Bible in Brazilian Portuguese that consists of the essence of the Scriptures, this is the book for you!
