Q: Do the tunnels fit 5" Syrian hamsters?

I believe the tubes would fit a Syrian hamster, but the cage itself much too small for any type of hamster. This cage is 216 square inches. It is commonly agreed that the bare minimum recommended for both Syrian and Dwarf hamsters is 450 square inches, but bigger is always better! This cage seems like would be great for mice, but if you want a good, cheap cage for a hamster I would suggest purchasing a clear plastic bin. It's a cheap and easy option. I bought a $20 clear Christmas tree storage bin for my hamster, it's about 819 square inches. There is plenty of space and I can leave the top off for ventilation! Many commercial cages you see are far too small for hamsters, and the ones that are big enough can be very expensive. Q: Are the bars thin enough between for a dwarf hamster?

This product constantly allows escapes from my two dwarf hamsters and dont depend on seller to fix or admit to and issues.

Sent to someone as a gift and don't know a measurement#. I do know tubes were larger than any we've seen and had ventilation in tubes sp the little critter cam breathe. Very Pleased.

Q: Is this suitible for a fancy mouse?

It does say in the details it’s for a mouse. My daughter has a miniature hamster so Rosie is not that big maybe a little bigger than a mouse but she absolutely loves it and so do we. She has all the room to run and play and is on the wheel all night long. It’s easy to clean … and has been well worth the cost.
