Love these maps
Even though we can now view directions on our cell phones, I still like to get a full layout of the city and these maps are great. Gives me a directional perspective. Colorful, easy to read, durable and pack well. I have ones for Florence, London and Rome.

What a wonderful tool to navigate Barcelona!
I am puzzled by the video of a customer with a ruined map. Not my experience and I've been using VanDam StreetSmart maps for years. This one was a terrific guide for my recent trip to Barcelona. Sturdy, up to date, easy and clear to explore that marvelous city. We followed several of the walks recommended and outlined and especially loved the "Banksy to Picasso Museum" one.... and we checked out several of the recommended restaurants. No disappointments.

Only shows downtown
We ended up not using it as much as I thought. It's not a real map, more of a combo of small maps.I just wanted a map of the city that goes out to Castelldefels, Tibidabo and a bit out beyond towards the Costa Brava.

Handy little travel map
This map is just the size. It is small enough to carry along, yet large enough to have all the important info on it. The heavy laminated paper seems like it should hold up well.

I was disappointed in the fact the metro map is not up to date so when I got to Barcelona it was not useful. The rest of the map was helpful in knowing landmarks and where to go visit.

A very disappointing map.
Avoid the VanDam laminated map with its dumbed-down maps. The laminated Michelin Map of Barcelona is a far superior choice. It gives spatially accurate maps to plan walking tours and also maps of the entire metropolitan area with the hierarchy of road clearly shows. The Michelin Map's information is precise. With 28 individual panels of well-organized data, the Michelin's contents is also far superior to VanDam's which has only 18 panels of data. Each map takes the same space in a bag.The choice between the two maps is a no-brainer!To plan your visit, buy also (as I did) the National Geographic's pocket-book size "Walking Barcelona"(193p.). it contains detailed maps and site descriptions of 15 walking itineraries. The guide also includes an excellent pull-out map of the city center of the proverbial accuracy of the National Geographic. Just don't write on it with your felt pen!
