NOW Foods Solutions, Aquatic Beauty Plus Marine Collagen From Wild-Caught Fish and Astaxanthin Powder, 3-Ounce

I've tried so many creams and skin products and I eat mostly clean and gluten free. Here and there I will see some minor improvements with things like red light therapy, BioSil, pycnogenol, drinking bone broth (homemade) and some creams. But I have never seen such an improvement in my aging skin with any product as I have with this one. I began to see results after just a few days!Also, I've tried collagen powder a number of times but it always causes me GI upset and for some strange reason joint pain. I don't understand this since it's supposed to help joints. Maybe I don't do well with bovine collagen, but I seem to tolerate this marine collagen with no problems whatsoever.I came upon this product after reading Dr. William Davis' book, Super Gut, which is a total game-changer for health. He has a beauty product that has all of these ingredients in it plus an organism called Lactobacillus reuteri that helps with rebuilding collagen. Since I already get that organism from a yogurt that I make, I thought I would just get this product (which is a whole lot cheaper!) instead of buying his super expensive product that contained all of these ingredients plus the organism.If you're looking for a product that tastes great, don't buy this one. I'm certainly not taking it because I want something that tastes good. I'm beyond that. I need results. So I mix it with whey protein powder and almond milk. I can't even taste it in that mixture.I think I will be using this product for years to come.... not just for beauty but for gut and joint health as well.

I am not at all surprised to state that this product has been great! I have been a consumer of NOW supplements for years now and will gladly continue to be. Thank you NOW!!!!

The price was definetly a good value and from one of my favorite brands. However, the taste is slightly fishy AND the smell is not pleasant. I only use in in espresso, dark cowboy coffee or highly acidic juice like OJ or lemon/Limeade. I really wished I loved it but have to say I won't be purchasing again.

I like smoothies and love to pack them full of healthy things, things that make my skin or gut or whatever healthier. I happily added this powder, ignoring the many other reviews because hey, wimps, right? Want pretty skin, deal with a little bad taste, right? No. They were right. They were all right. I am shocked that NOW put this out on the public. It tasted fishy as well as just...I don't know how to describe it except brown. It tasted brown but not in a good way. I don't know if I can return it but I do know I will never use it again.

I've been taking collagen supplements in all different forms for years, so I've sampled plenty that I can compare this one to. What I look for in my favorite collagen powders is that they're (1) effective in improving my joint and skin health, (2) easily dissolve into my drinks and (3) taste good, or at least neutral. While this product may be effective, it misses the mark on the other two. I've tried blending it into hot and cold liquids and had a very hard time getting it to dissolve completely - even using an electric hand blender that works well with most of my other powdered supplements, I couldn't get all the chunks to dissolve. It's also got a distinctly fishy flavor that they've tried to disguise with vitamin C (AKA citric acid)... and although the packaging recommends blending it with citrus flavors, I don't think sour fish is a flavor that mixes well with much of anything. Mixing it into thick and flavorful smoothies in a blender manages to hide the texture and flavor, but I've found so many other collagen supplements that have better flavor and blend more easily into drinks that I really don't think I'd purchase this one again. I generally like NOW products, but this one needs some reformulation.

I mix this in my coffee and I can’t taste of thing. This is a really good supplement for your hair skin and nails. No stomach upset or anything like that. You could also makes the center oatmeal or a smoothie or a glass of water or juice.

I think health-wise this is probably very good. I know that fish collagen, and collagen in general, is good for you. However, this has a strong taste and smell. I would not advise mixing this with any sort of smoothie. It's really best added to something savory such as a fish broth or soup, or even something with meat in it. Note that this is a very small container--only 3 ounces. The serving size is only half a tablespoon, though, so it's nearly a month's supply if used once per day.

NOW has done it again. This is a quality product. It does take a little more effort to mix in with liquids. But I am seeing results with using it and this is what counts to me. I usually mix with hot water and that helps to dissolve the powder. Also stirring the powder while it is dry also seems to help. This would also work great with other beauty supplements to help enhance the effectiveness. So glad to have this in my line up.
