I'm following on recommendations and really feel better
Great book! FINALLY I got explanation to my neverending depression and anxiety. I've read tons of self hep books in my life and was following their advice. But only this book revealed to me that the reason of my eternal struggles is my unhealthy brain... Yes, positive thinking and visualisations are all great! But you can't become happy without curing your brain first. I am working on improving my brain now. This book is abundant in great advice on how to do it. I am so happy I came across this book!

This is a helpful book for someone who received a late-in-life diagnosis of ADHD
Dr. Amen does his lectures on PBS and after watching those I've bought a couple of his books. In this one there is a lot of connection with popular culture folks mentioned in the text (name-dropping is kind of off-putting) but he offers an excellent set of references so I can go to the articles he cites if I want more information. There is also a pretty good index, also helpful when going back and forth through the book to find and reread points or compare the brain types he describes. I found it helpful.

Easy to read and understand brain health
I enjoyed this book very much. Dr. Amen is a brain and cognition expert! He has found a way to look at how different parts of the brain effect personality. He is a big proponent of brain health and keeping yours in good shape. I was hooked at the very beginning when he explained how one child who was not given a heads up about a birthday trip to special amusement park had a meltdown in the parking lot. All of a sudden it made perfect sense! I am a number 9 brain type. What's yours?

I find th book very repetitive in the wording and I don't really like that about the book other than that it seems really goog

Love this book although I have not finished it yet it is very interesting. I can’t wait to read more. Tips on how to improve your brain health which in turn helps you improve others areas too.

Love this book!
Very applicable advice backed by what appears to be science. It has me re-thinking my negative thoughts and leaning in for hope, joy & peace. I'm a Christian and this book aligns well with God's truths in the Holy Bible! ♡
