Good play value, easy to assemble.
My 4 & 6 yr old grandsons love playing with this. The 6 yr old found it easy to assemble. It's sturdy and good value.

Fairly simple but striking-looking build
My kids have been building Ninjago stuff for a few years now, and unfortunately that meant that this set was met with a slightly ungrateful ‘meh’ which a couple of years ago would have been a ‘wow’. This is one of the smaller Ninjago sets and it feels quite stripped-back and simplified, and it lacks any clever details or new pieces that might bring a bit of ‘ooh’ factor. The dragon’s glowing headpiece is an honourable exception though. That said though, I think it’s rather a nice entry level set. It’s a pretty quick build for a seasoned builder, but it does teach a little bit about joints in a way. Although the neck can only rotate up and down rather than having a ball joint, it still ends up being rather posable, capable of being stood on three legs, or even two legs at a push, and bringing a fair amount of character (albeit quite aggressive character because of the fixed angry expression). The combination of blue and yellow is nicely striking and it makes a good shelf piece when it’s not being played with. For play, it’s very swooshable, with its narrow body and ability to adopt a (semi-awkward) flying pose or two. If your child loves the storytelling aspect, there’s plenty of play to be had in here. It’s a 6+ set that’s probably best suited to 6 or 7 year olds, but it’s a lovely colour and style, and if this was a first Lego Ninjago set, it would be a good place to start.

Good value Lego
Very good Lego toy. This will keep your children engaged for half an hour or more. If your child is into Lego, I recommend it

Beautiful dragon!
My son loves it, so we bought another one as a present. Easy to assemble and bigger than you can immagine! Definitely cheaper on amazon.
