The best Arabic book for non English speakers!
I teach Arabic at Sunday school and I chose this book after careful consideration and months of research for so many Arabic books. This by far was the best book and I don’t regret ordering it for my classroom.Highly recommend for students who can read Arabic but don’t understand it (finished Al-Bayan book for instance ) but don’t know the meaning or how to form a sentence.

The best beginners book for learning Arabic.
Awesome book, before I knew only how to read arabic and didn't understand it at all, BUT learning by this book woken up my interest in learning and helped me to start somewhere. Simple and step by step layout of the book makes it easier to learn. Each chapter is only in arabic followed by English explanation of the grammar points and points to remember. Loved the explanation behind each chapter: clear concise and to the point. It is nice to have someone to explain or practice with, but if you don't, your effort and explanation on the back of the chapters will help you get it through) There is also a youtube videos based on this book. It is also possible to find some free worksheets correlated to this book on the web to have more practice. If you study by yourself the only thing you should know BEFORE starting this book is how to read arabic (and you don't have to read fluently, just make sure to know how to recognize the letters and blend the sounds together because the book don't have phonetic pronunciation of the words).**the only thing is the book I received don't have boy and girl on the cover, I think it is a newer version of the books because I got covers with circles on it) But my friend has the boy and girl on the cover and I didn't notice any difference yet. Also I am not sure what is cheaper set of five or buying one by one...The point is no matter what cover of the book the insides are more important)

Really neat book, especially for children, English Key is added within the book
This is the same text as the Madinah books which are free and copyrightfree on the LQToronto website with free DVDS, the nice thing is this one has color illustrations throughout and the English Key is included at the end of each chapter and explained for children. Also each exercise/ lesson heading has the English below i.e. Iqra waktub is also written : Read & write. The Arabic text is the same as the Madinah readers. This books goes up to Lesson 13 from the original Madinah Book 1 and I would think that the Book 2 in this series would finish off the original Madinah Book 1. The pages are very very thick and semi-glossy. The top is soft cover but I was nicely impressed with the quality. The foreword mentions this book was prepared for Nur-Ul-Islam Academy i=collaborated with Professor Abdur Rahim.

fine as supplemental
no English explanations makes it hard to work with unless you are using another book with this or taking a class.
