Awesome companion for those working with batteries and algorithims!
A great book and companion for engineers (or anyone) working on battery management systems. The book offers a great deep dive into the theory and mechanics of different approaches to estimating battery states and correcting for known issues with different types of algorithms. Practical applications are discussed alongside pure theory. If you find yourself needing to develop Kalman filters or similarly complex algorithms for batteries I can highly recommend this book!

Amazing Resource Within the Realm of Li-Ion Batteries
Gregory Plett is a fantastic teacher! I used this book, as well as the first volume (Battery Modelling) extensively while writing my Master Thesis in Li-Ion Battery Modelling and State of Charge (SoC) Estimation. These two resources, as well as the lecture notes and videos on his website, were the main reasons why I understood these complex concepts as well as I did. Compared to dry and compact research papers, it was much easier to understand the concepts of Li-Ion Battery Modelling and SoC estimation using the concepts presented in this book. If you are either writing a bachelor, master or PhD thesis within the realm of Li-Ion Battery modelling or work in the battery industry, this book is a fantastic resource. Also, if you are just curious and want to learn more about Li-Ion batteries, I thoroughly recommend this book as well as the second volume! Everything is presented in a clear and concise manner and is not very difficult to follow along with. In addition, the extra supplementary resources on Gregory Plett's website were also tremendously useful. Keep up the great work Gregory!
