Seems to work fine. No problems on Apple MacBook Pro
I used this to access the serial port on a network switch from my MacBook Pro that only has USB-C/TB3 ports. Used simple “screen” command in terminal to access the device. You can use other tools with GUIs if desired. To use “screen” find which device you want to connect to. Run this command to see the serial devices: ls /dev/tty.*Once you’ve found the device you would like to use, you can use the SCREEN command to start the serial terminal session on your Mac. Remember to specify the speed or baud rate after the device tty name like this: screen /dev/tty.usbserial-ASB3245Z 9600Once you’ve connected, you can use the terminal as you normally would. To exit (and close the screen gracefully) press: control-a

Easy to use and work’s great 👍
This console cable is just as described. It’s designed for C-port/USB C laptops like the 2018 MacBook Pro. It was simple to connect, no need to install drivers, but you can manually install it too. I recommend this cord for anyone with a USB C port.
