Good bat for getting started with
Caught me by surprise how good it is. Good depth and power and subjectively I like how low you can flight the ball too. The sound is actually soft as well since it being aluminium, I thought it would be tinny but no. Really cheap as well which helps. Really good bat.

The paddle is comfortable and I like the weight.Unfortunately, there are some surface defects that are not only unattractive but may make this particular paddle unusable for tournament play. The defects appear to be foreign matter (most likely aluminum shards) that were painted over. This may have only affected this individual paddle.Not what I expect from Franklin Sports.I own other Franklin paddles that I am very happy with so hopefully this is a one-shot deal.UPDATE: I contacted Franklin via email. They responded within an hour to take care of the problem.
