Ultraviolet Light Water Purifier Reverse Osmosis UV 6W, 1GPM

nice UV light don't like the silicone or glue they use to seal the quick connects took mine off and cleaned out . They where hard to unscrew ,Had to be very careful unscrewing . Is the silicon drinking water safe .I would have preferred to screw in the quick connects myself I know what I am using and its safety for drinking waterThat said , I supposed they do it so customers that don't know how to do plumbing ,so it don't leak

This doesn't seal water comes out of the top IM unable to stop the Flow of water must be missing a gasket? As the present gasket is not working.

Just arrived yesterday so it has not been installed yet. Looks like it is constructed very well and is a proven technology so I am very confident it will work fine. It will be installed after a reverse osmosis system so my drinking water should improve substantially.TDS (total resolved solids) in our city water averages 624 as it enters the house. That gets a "FAIR" quality rating by our local water district. I installed a whole house 10 micron sediment filter which I thought would lower the TDS reading but that had no effect at all. I am going to swith it to five micron. I THEN added an inline ice filter and our refrigerator has a built in filter as well. Those two in combination lowered the TDS to 405 at the water dispensor in the refridgerator. Still not acceptable to me, hence I ordered a five stage ro system and this sterylizer and will install both in the next few days.The only down side to this unit is that, as other reviews stated, the mounting clamps are too big for the housing and will be discarded and new mounts fabricated. A step that should be un needed.Thus the less than 5 Star rating.One final note, as with all ro systems there will be substantial water waste which was why I avoided ro systems. However, once I thought about it I decided to route the rejection line out to my garden instead of running the water down the drain, making the rejected water usefull.

The uv light is great, I flushed my hot water tank and the smell still came back so I put this after the whole house filters and purifies the water perfectly. It's a must buy for any well water, make sure you nuke your well with a gallon of Clorox and install this.. no more problems

Ballast failed in less than a year. They want 1/2 the price of the entire unit for this little cheap ballast that will inevitably fail shortly again anyway.

Just installed this unit... it appears to be well constructed and was simple to install. Assuming the lamp life is as advertised, I will be quite happy with this purchase

The directions don't match the unit. It is not clear at all on how to install the parts and the directions are for a unit with an opening on 2 ends and the product only has an opening on 1 end. I ended up breaking the glass tube that holds the UV light trying to figure out how to make it work. Complete waste of time and money since I wasn't able to work on it until several months after I bought it.

I’m highly disappointed in what I received. I can see the item is quality made but no instructions came with the item. I didn’t mind that much because I’m an engineer. I assembled it by watching a video for a different sterilizer. No leaks and so far do good.One star deducted for the lack of instruction pamphlet.
