In a nutshell- this product is very easy to use, well priced, good value for money, really does work for very long hair and does what it says. If you want true curls, this is far superior to a curling wand and similar produces I've tried.In full- I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I have very long, thick hair (down to mid hip) and most curling tools do not work well for very long hair, but this actually does! It was so much easier to use than I expected, I got the hang of it basically straight away and it was way easier and better than similar products I have tried. I've done my hair a few times already with it over the past couple of weeks and it was brilliant, only got a minor tangle when using it on a single curl, which was no issue at all. You do need to put in thin strands, the thinner the better if your hair is very long, but it will curl the hair well and leave a very nice result which lasts. I have very thick, very long hair, and it still only took around 30-50mins to do all my hair, depending on the result I was going for.I like the way the ends are curled nicely and more perfectly than the result you get with a wand or tongs. This is so much better and easier than using a curling wand, and much faster with nicer, longer lasting results! There is no faffing trying to wrap the ends of the hair properly without burning your fingers like with a regular wand, and no difficulty getting the curl consistent with layered or uneven hair- it does it all for you. Very well designed product as it curls from the top, not the bottom, so ends curl perfectly and set better and uneven hairs don't get missed. Even at the salon they can't get more than a light wave in my hair with the curling wands because my hair is just too long and thick, and the waves just fall out within an hour. This is an absolute game changer for me! The ease of use really is the best part, the risk of burning your hands or face is almost nil, as the wand is protected from your hand and face except the top- plus, if you angle the top away from your face you can't feel any heat at all, which I like as I often feel overheated from both the constant radiating heat given out by the wand or straighteners and the effort of curling long hair.I truly love this product! If you have shorter hair and you just want a quick twist or light wave, then to be honest I still find thin ceramic hair straightens to the fastest method- or if you prefer a very light wave for body and want to keep the ends straight, then just stick to your normal wand- but if your hair is longer and if you want a nicer, more consistent curl that lasts much longer, this is by far best product I have ever used. I'm going to honest, I only ordered due to the free return policy as I thought it wouldn't work for my long thick hair (as most similar items and curling wands just aren't suitable for very long hair despite what they claim) but I am so surprised and very happy by the ease of use and great results and I am definitely keeping it! I'm honestly in love with it and I wish i'd had one years ago. I'm going to buy another one for my sister too.The only minor issues I have noticed so far- you do need to put in thin pieces if you have very long thick hair, but that is to be expected, and it still doesn't take that long to do your whole hair due to ease of use.The one small issue I would like to draw attention to is that I have found that several times it didn't beep after 10 seconds to tell me the hair was ready- this isn't a big deal though, just count to 10 in your head slowly, and if you don't hear a beep after a few more seconds take the hair out anyway.Overall I am absolutely thrilled with this product and I definitely recommended it!

Brilliant gadget. I get so many compliments about my hair now. Never snags my hair, also stops if too much hair is it in. Quick and easy to use and it manages and styles my coarse hair brilliant, giving it a beautifulglossy curl.

I absolutely SUCK at styling my hair, especially curling. The top drawer of my dressing table is a graveyard of various curling tools. When I do manage to get something resembling a curl, it drops out in a matter of minutes. So I was deeply sceptical that this tool could deliver. Well, if I can get amazing curls with this, even a bald baby can, that's how easy it is. Seriously, whoever invented this stuff (someone in China I bet) deserves a Nobel prize. It doesnt get hot outside, so you can even place it on your lap while styling (though I am not recommending that!). It's very easy to place a strand of hair in the groove without getting burnt. Its very easy to operate. And most important, it gives you gorgeous curls within 10 seconds. Actually, I didnt wait for the beep at 10 seconds, and just took my hair out after 5 seconds to get looser waves. When I did it for 10 seconds my curls were more like ringlets. You can also take it very close to your scalp without getting burnt, which means almost your entire strand can be curly if you like.For medium thick hair like mine 180 C is sufficient, and maybe even the lower setting might work though I havent tried it.I've used it twice now, without any product, and the curls have been beautifully defined. My only gripe is that it comes with one size barrel so you only get one size curls. I wanted a bigger barrel so I could get fat bouncy curls but this wont give you that even if you put thicker strands of hair in it.My hair is shoulder length and I'm sure this gives even better results on longer hair.Second day curls are not as defined. In fact, only my ends were curly but the rest of the hair looked smooth, and the overall look was good. So if you want really defined curls for an event, its best to use the tool on the day instead of the day before. Or maybe try with hair sprays etc and see what works (I tend to avoid using too many chemicals on my hair).

I have fine straight hair and have always struggled with conventional curling wands as it takes me ages and the curls don't stay in. This is a total gamechanger. It's so easy to use, with a long cable so you can position yourself as needed. Heats up very quickly. I have used it on freshly washed hair, day-old hair and hair with product added for hold pre-curling, and in each case I have ended up with lovely curls which have held surprisingly well.In terms of the actual curling process, I section my hair so I do the bottom layer first, then a mid layer and then finish with the top layer. You simply need to take a small section and insert it into the curler, as close to the scalp as you'd like depending on where you want the curl to start, then hold the button on the curler so it wraps the hair until it beeps, then let go and wait for it to beep again. Voila - a lovely natural curl. You can choose the direction of the curl depending on which side of the head you are working on and the style you want. The only thing is that it's important not to take a huge chunk of hair at a time - I found that around 1-1.5cm at a time was about right.With medium-long (a few inches below shoulder length) fine hair, it took me around 45 mins first time and subsequently around 20-30 minutes to do my whole head. I was curling my hair for a show so curled it each day for five days in a row, something I could not have managed without this product. 100% recommend.
