Betty Bunny Loves Chocolate Cake

You know how some kid shows are made with parents in mind. They have these subtle jokes that make you laugh. That’s how I feel about Betty bunny. I love this book!! Great sense of humor!

The author's storytelling is the way kids really act and the illustrator's facial expressions are great!

I got this as a fun gift for a friend named Betty and she loves it.

Our whole family LOVES this story! The first time I read it I had tears in my eyes because it is hilarious! The three kids in the story are pretty much the same personalities as our three kids. We have read it so frequently that we have memorized parts of it. There are numerous life lessons woven into the story, including try new foods because they may end up being your favorites, it is important to eat a healthy dinner before eating sweets, you cannot make real food out of mud, it's not appropriate to throw food, having patience is difficult, and don't put food in your pockets! Others have written negative reviews about Betty Bunny's behavior, but I think most kids understand that Betty Bunny is inappropriate. If they don't, then the book can become a great conversation tool.

The Betty Bunny series is a great asset for any home with a precocious and strong-willed toddler. After receiving one as a gift, we then ordered all of the remaining Betty Bunny books is rapid succession. This is the first in the series, so start with it if you can! And some of the lines, especially said by betty's older siblings are hilarious! My husband and I crack up when we read it to our daughter, and she quotes lines from it constantly. Highly recommend!

This book is such a funny read. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, me or my four-year-old. It depicts typical sibling relationships and their challenges. Each child character realistically adopts a role - peace-maker, antagonist, thoughtful solution-finder, and of course, "the baby". The mom character is a role-model for all with her extreme patience. The best part is how Betty Bunny thinks and reasons just like a child. I believe the author must have pulled this experience straight from his childhood. Such a delightful story that will make you laugh out loud.

This book couldn't have come at a better time. My 2 year old son is obsessed with chocolate cake. Although, he rarely has it. I love the fun humor and the message of this story. I read it to him every night before bed. When I ask him if he would like me to read him "Betty Bunny Loves Chocolate Cake", he always says, "YES!" I think somewhere inside he's hoping that I meant, "Would you care for some chocolate cake?". Great book for any child!

I usually like to read childrens' books in person first to make certain they are appropriate (kids so readily copy and repeat what they see, hear and learn in books and it makes sense to review them first hand if possible). Betty Bunny Loves Chocolate Cake is a cute story and the illustrations are very, very charming. What I did not like so much is the description of Betty as "a handful" by her mother in the story. I purchased this book as a gift for a 3 year old and did not want to imply that I thought of the recipient as a handful. I also didn't want her to pick up referring to friends and family as handfuls either. Might be just fine for older kids.

Both the three year old, and six year old boy love Betty Bunny. This is one of the first books for which the six year old can understand the various levels and appreciates it even more for that reason.

A must read....very funny at any age!

Certainly nothing to dislike about these endearing books. This cute little bunny is the youngest of her family and I’m sure you know a child like her! Her final action on the back page is usually hilarious!
