Disappointed with yet, more negative reviews!
Sometimes I just don't get the negative reviews .... it seems some people are predisposed to that negative position & things have to run thru that negative filter first before it can be appreciated for its intended use or purpose.First & foremost, it is $20, NOT $1,000 so to me it was worth the "risk" & my expectation is relative to the price.I bought it because I have a car with leather interior & no matter how high I turn on the A/C in the summer heat, my back will sweat because the leather does not breathe like cloth seats. I have arrived at appointments with my nice dress shirt on & can feel the sweat has permeated my nice, clean & pressed dress shirt .... yea, pretty gross I know but it is the fact of the matter. Many years ago, these were very popular items, you could buy them in auto parts stores & I had remembered how effective they were in providing the ability to allow an air space between my back & the seat. However, the stores do not carry them & came to Amazon.I bought it, installed it with the strap which barely fit around my seat (I have a Crown Vic & the seat is quite wide) & gave it a fair chance to work. Is it perfect? No, very few things are but for the price it is perfect & does exactly what I wanted it to do & easily met my expectations.I expect it to last a season or two & would I buy it again? Absolutely because even if it only lasted for 6 months the cost would be about 10¢ a day & I am more than willing to pay that for comfort & avoiding the sweat issue. As for the company who supplied the product, they immediately sent it, it arrived ahead of schedule & was professional packaged.**UPDATE**So satisfied that I am ordering 2 more. It lasted about a year on my daily driver & I am in & out of the car a lot. Again, $20 to save my back from sweating from May to October? Ha, that's a no brainer!

It is holding up
I have used it for a year, it still is in good condition. Just slides around and I need to adjust it every time I get into the car.

Completely solved the sweat problem, and actually more comfortable than the seat
I originally bought this for my office chair but ended up putting it in my car. It worked quite well for the chair too, but the benefit there is the bottom pad, and the back pad just gets in the way. I wish they sold a cheaper version of this with just the bottom pad.The beads are very nice because they create an air gap between your body and the seat, vastly improving ventilation, making you feel less hot and sweat way less. If you were already sweaty or wet sitting down, you dry much faster instead of sogging up the seat. All in all, a godsend for hot weather, or if you end up getting wet often (eg. going to the beach). It was also more comfortable to sit on (both with clothes and with bare skin) than my actual car seat, which is already a very comfortable bucket seat. I was expecting it to be rough to sit on, since it's just wood, but somehow it wasn't bad at all. However, my wife hated it and said it was very uncomfortable, so perhaps it's a personal preference thing. There are two problems with this product:1. The back pad has an elastic band that's supposed to go around your seat, but it is much too narrow and tight for many car seats. It's possible to just cut it and sow some additional material, but I found that it was unnecessary since the pad stays in place without having to put the band around the seat.2. The beads do crack I suspect some may fall out with time. I won't deduct stars for this because I feel like it's not a big issue and it would not be practical to fix it without making it much more expensive. I don't mind just buying a new pad when too many beads fail. They also shed some saw dust and small wood chips, which looks messy on a dark seat when you remove the pad - so keep this in mind if it matters to you (I don't mind, since my seats are white and I never remove the pad).

Good for deciding if this style will be useful.
9-29-24 The product lasted about a year. It falls apart with 5 day/week use, in/out of car 12-20 times per day. I'm opting for another version with more tie down points and less beads. This is okay for limited use but won't stand up to a delivery service driver using it daily. After 10 days of solid use I'm ready to comment. Initial install was simple: Open delivery box and put in the seat with one elastic strap to hold in place, pros & cons on attachment later. Right out of the box the product improved my comfort level. I'm doing a gig driving job that has me in my personal car seat 9-11 hours per day, in Houston, Tx heat and humidity. It's impossible to keep the car climate stable with the in/out of delivery work. This seat cover immediately made entering/exiting the car in sweat soaked cloathing much less annoying. The beads act like a conveyor belt for your butt. I'm not sticking to the seat anymore, and, shorts aren't bunching...as much. Note: I placed this seat cover on top of the 1 inch binder filled with paper I had in the seat to neutralize the dip designed into the seat. Getting your butt up higher puts less pressure on the hamstrings=less back pain. The solid surface under the beads helps with the air flow for sure-my shorts are less damp. The cons? Repeated in/out is wearing on this thing fast. I think if I didn't have the binder UNDER the seat cover the nylon fishing line holding the beads in place would have snapped by now. Im seeing some beads missing from snapped lines, and, the elastic band holding to the back of the seat has disintigrated, I've cut it off and re-tied it. Small bungee cords securing the cover in more places would have prevented some of the damage. I'm already shopping another version of this seat cover that covers more of the seat. I would buy it again, but only for light use, not for work.

My husband is happy!
We searched all over for an air ventilating seat, and they are no longer carried anywhere. He uses it on the lawn mower and can't be happier that I found it -- on Amazon, of course.
