Get what you pay for
I bought this when it was on sale for around $60 and was the lowest priced utility bench that could semi fold up to store it easy. My goal was just to have something I could do some dumbbell workouts with as I get started with working out at home.Setup was a hassle as the instructions aren't entirely clear and give you a more overview rather than step by step of how to put it together. Some other reviewers mention that they had mis-placed screw holes that don't line up for the seat installation. I also ran into this issue and requested an replacement from Amazon. Waited for replacement, unboxed it and it was the same issue. I thought that was odd so I took a closer look and found that the screw holes on the seat were correct for both of the units I had but the brackets you install onto the frame were on backwards. This is easily missed as it is not mentioned which way to install them in the instructions and I didn't even think of that being the issue until I reversed them and boom, all works. So, keep that in mind!Ultimately, it's a cheap bench. You get what you pay for, and I wouldn't recommend using it for bench pressing due to unclear weight limits but for doing dumbbells workout or dips, etc. I think it'll do fine.

Fine bench for light use
I do not use this bench a lot but for what I use it (abs, back and some dumbbell exercises sometimes) it works fine.Sturdy enough for me. It serves its purpose.

Durable, comfortable and solid!
I was looking for a cheap bench to use for dumbell exercises. I tried Craigslist and found plenty of ugly, old, flat benches wrapped in duct tape there. They were all under $100 and would have been barely adequate. I was hoping for a bench with a reclining support for different exercises and found a nice Bowflex bench at Dicks sporting goods for about $170. That was out of my budget. Lucky for me, I stumbled upon this Marcy bench. It has all the features of the Dick's bench, but only cost me as much as a junky old craigslist bench!Assembly was pretty easy and the instructions were good. The bench os very stable and comfortable to use. The mechanism for adjusting the bench angle is very solid. The bench material is comfortable and seems pretty durable. I can easily push the bench against a wall when it is not in use. There are comfortable knee and foot supports for doing sit-ups and you can even drop the bench lower than horizontal for Roman Chair sit-ups. We are very happy with the quality and the price!

It appears to be what it claims to be.
First impressions are that this is a relatively light-duty bench, perfectly adequate for home workouts. The build quality isn't amazing, but it seems solid enough. If you want something to use in your power rack with your olympic bars and bumper plates, this probably isn't it. If you want something that will stand up to five or so hours' use per week and let you do things like chest presses and flies with your adjustable dumbbell set, this will do just fine. (Maximum combined weight of you plus your weights is 300 lbs, according to the manual.)Assembly took me a little over an hour, but I was taking extra care since others had warned of stripping bolts/sockets. I ran the bolt threads over a bar of soap before using them just to be sure, but I had no problems. The threaded holes in the parts that sit on the floor were not perfectly aligned, but they worked well enough. I ended up not liking the ankle/knee padded bars so I just didn't install them. Will update this review if it falls apart, but so far I'm pleased with it.

A Good Value
I read a lot of the reviews before deciding to try this bench. My bench came in with a slightly damaged box but everything inside was there and okay. It was simple to put together and the pictographic instructions were clear. All of the pieces fit together very well including the bolts holding the seat and back-rest on. BTW, I'm a little over 6' and the seat and back-rest size fit me fine with head support when working off my back, i.e. sit-ups, presses, etc. The backs of the seat and back-rest are finished pretty crudely, specially staples and ragged edge fabric but that is a design not a construction mis-step. The only real, albeit minor, deficiency is, as one other reviewer noted, that the seat and the back-rest are not perfectly aligned. The mis-alignment does not effect the functioning. It's mainly cosmetic. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

Marcy utility bench
Good bench for the price, Feels stable under you. fairly easy to assemble, i how3ever don't think it will last long, as its already showing some wear. I had a question and a flaw, but got crickets from customer service both on phone and online. After being an active gym menber for 10 years, I'm building a home gym, I won't be using Marcy dumbells or treadmill.
