Llc BL01 Waxless Toilet Gasket

First time using a wax-less toilet seal. After checking similar product reviews, this looked like the best choice. I had a leak on the old toilet which was going to be replaced and later moved to a new location. The new toilet Installation with Sani-Seal was quick and easy. No leaks detected thus far. I'll inspect the seal when it's time to move the new toilet and reuse. No messy wax to clean off flanges.

I have used this ring system several times. And they work great. First they are reusable. If or when you have to pull the toilet. You can and then just reset it. It will tolerate a little movement during setup. A wax ring will not. Once compressed a wax ring is done. This one will flex back.

Seems like a good product and good to use when there is a wide gap between the drain pipe flange and the bottom of the toilet, but in my situation it didn't work. It was too thick and I couldn't get the base of the toilet to sit snug on the floor. I ended up going back to a basic wax seal which worked well. As it turned out, the toilet wasn't leaking because of a failed seal. There ended up being a hairline crack Under the bowl which you couldn't see until the toilet was removed and tilted on its side and closely examining it with a flashlight. You could see a slight stain on the porcelain and about a four inch crack. Ended up being one of those projects you thought would take an hour and took five, after three trips to the hardware store

After removing my toilet to repair a leak around the base, I discovered an older cast iron flange with a five inch opening. The leak occurred because the standard wax ring was unable to seal the large opening. This unusual green device was eady to install and perfectly sealed my toilet flange. Also nice to not fool with a messy wax ring.

As other reviewers have pointed out, this item is being manufactured incorrectly. It lacks the sleeve that goes down the pipe. Why are these even being sold? The item I received does not match the item shown in the manufacturer's video or in the directions on the back of the box. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk!

I love these seals over wax. Plumber who did my sewer line replacement put in a wax ring on even when I asked for this. Turned attic fan on one day and just smelled sewer gas coming from the bathroom, and yep coming from the toilet. This is the easy fix.
