A Great Model!
This is the first model kit I’ve purchased from this company (Hasegawa). To say that I’m impressed is a gross understatement. I’ve never before seen a model with parts so well molded. They are smooth, sharp-edged, and require little to no prep work. Add to that, the kit I purchased is NASA’s Voyager spacecraft — a model with many tiny and small, long, thin parts. All were perfect! The instructions, even the color coding for painting, are well-written, logical, and easy to understand. There is nothing about this kit that I wasn’t happy with. I only took the time to write this review because it is so well-deserved.

A fantastic kit
The kit is very nice done, without surplus plastic. There are many small parts, so you must be careful. Most of the parts are in their final color, so you don't have to paint them. If you want to look better, is advised to paint them though. I did the paint job and is looking quite nice. In most parts you don't need glue, this is a snaptile kit.A minus are the antennas which are made from solid plastic, rather than how should they be. There is a photoetched kit made by Eduard, that can upgrade a lot from this one, I recommand it. In the end i give 5 stars for goid quality and very good fitting of parts.

And you might think you have a long commute...
This is a review upon reception, not yet assembled.I have also ordered: EDU48761 1:48 Eduard PE - Voyager Space Probe Detail Set (for use with the Hasegawa model kit), not yet received. The box is in good condition (not cellophaned), molds are complete and are cellophaned. The instructions are in Japanese, with a good English and Visual interpretation, though these are minimal in the 'Fact Card' that comes with it.Paint recommendations are not common to my local distributors, but I'm sure Testors or Tamiya have similar colors. Also comes with a 'surprise' addition that is kinda funny. If anyone wants just a base model of the Voyager Space Probe that is quite nice but much simpler, I recommend:http://spacecraftkits.com/Catalog.html That is http : // spacecraftkits . com

TINY pieces! Great model.
Loved assembling this model, but wow are the pieces fragile and small. You will want tweezers and a magnifying lens for this kit. Fantastic model and excellent quality.

ONLY FOR PROFESSIONALS, *ONLY*
I was forced to buy this product given there were no alternatives. This was a mistake.1. The directions state 5 colors, including gross black and silver. However the set I received was black and white, no more.2. Some of the pieces end in bits that are smaller than the plastic pieces supposed to break off, so it's impossible to remove the pieces without breaking them in some way3. There is no English option4. Directions ARE VERY UNCLEAR:Take Part 3—where there are 2 double arrows pointing to whichever pieces (up to bottom, left to right). It took 15 minutes to realize that the top and bottom pieces were to be put together before the right and left. Not to mention the orientation of the pieces is not shown.5. I wasn't looking for a kit but a model, this was the only one. The dexterity required to even get through the first part made me want to tear it apart. Even the first part was INCREDIBLY delicate and had to be reassembled multiple times.6. The plastic frame and plastic pieces are not clearly distinguished, in some cases (part 4) even identical, causing me to accidentally rip it7. Some of the pieces require scissors to remove from the frame8. THERE ARE OVER 90 PIECES FYI9. Back to 4—unclear directions—often (such as part 4) no orientation of the pieces is described and some of the piece is even missing in the diagram, making it extremely frustrating to comprehend where pieces are supposed to goActually I have just looked at the bulleted list and I need to point this out"Requires glue, paint, and basic model building tools (All sold separately)."But I was depending on this model for a school project. No, a nationally recognized project (National History Day), and I won't be able to have a model of one of the Voyager space probes now. Great.I'm 13 and I'm pretty good when assembling things, but this is NOT a gift for ANYONE.I will include photos upon request

Great detail, but very delicate parts
Got the product in decent condition well before the mentioned delivered date. Product detail is great and instructions are upto mark, but some parts are very weak and need to very careful in assembling them.It would have better if they have provided joints in metal to make the product durable. Overall, its a nice product and took 4 good hours to complete assembling.

Nice Kit Worth the Price
Lots of small parts to deal with so patience, good quality fine tipped paint brushes and a good set of tweezers are required. The model really comes to life with the photo-etched set, available separately. Lots of fun and a nice piece of history to display when you are done. They don't advertise it but the little gold-plated alien that comes with the kit is flipping you the bird! That's FUNNY!

Great model
I love the model. Some tiny parts to deal with but, all parts fit very well. I painted the thermal generator a little different than they called for. Overall very happy with how it turned out.
