Did what it says
Purchased this to link to my ancestry app and did just that. Quite informative but you have to be on the highest membership if you want the full benefits.

Value for money
Of great value whether or not you want to create a family tree. You don’t need to join ancestry only register which is free and each stage of dna ancestry communicates very well

Very interesting
My daughter bought this to check her ancestry. Interesting fact my Grandmother was mixed race due to her mother having an affair with a GI. As a Barnardos orphan we always questioned her DNA. We were thrilled to discover we are part Nigerian.Absolutely fascinating.

The most disappointing purchase I ever made.
While some parts of the website are excellent and work as described the whole DNA testing seems to be more of a bait and switch resulting in nothing of use and the letdown for customers interested in DNA results. The goodIf you want to follow your family tree by name only then the website works well and can link you from person to person very quickly. It simply needs you to already know the names of a few generations, of relatives and it can match to many records it is linked to, to build a family treePerfect if you 100% believe your oral family history. The BADIf, however, you want to follow your DNA family be prepared for immense disappointment … the results are not just bad they a nothing close to the promised product. After completing the test and getting results back I got only one 5% DNA match to someone I don’t know, have no idea of their location and have no knowledge of their name. The rest of the DNA matches were 1% or less … that’s about as close as a Chimpanzee at the local Zoo … Totally pointless.THE WORST.After you spend a lot of money for the product, after you give up your DNA, after waiting 6-10 weeks for a result … you get it and then the want more money on membership to let you see anything. They offer a 14-day trial membership … but then restrict it to less than half their records, saying if you want to find out more it will cost you extra for premium or global membership.Do you really want to do that knowing they only have people with 1% or less match to your DNA ???As for the Trats … What a Joke they were, read a name and address then randomly guess … not funnyIn short to me this seems like a total con-job and scam and I would demand a refund if there was any way to do it as this was just money thrown away … Completely discussed with the whole thing

Discovered that my Grannies brother fathered an illegitimate child....
Well, what other product could get that kind of headline.Back to that grannies brother, found I had a connection to a woman that had ZERO connection to my family, investigated her family tree and saw no connection, until......I realised that at one point her mother lived in Greenwich.Found out that the child was born two years before she married another guy, in all she had three marriages. Sadly the daughter who uploaded her DNA had already passed away by the time I saw the link. Re by grannies brother, he died in the 1930's and may never had known of his child.Well, if you take one of these tests, heaven knows what you may find out (and they do warn you).Fantastic test though, the wonders of science.
