These Scunci No-slip Grip Auto Clasp Barrettes are a lifesaver! They hold my hair securely in place all day long, no matter how active I am. The strong grip keeps my hair from slipping out, and the comfortable design doesn't pull or tug. The variety of colors allows me to match them to my outfits, and they're easy to use, even with just one hand.

I have really incredibly thick hair. I have a very hard time getting a barrette to close on even a small quantity of my hair. These worked amazing. went right in closed without issue and stayed in place. unfortunately it was only about a week and a half after getting them that the plastic on the first barrette broke. I wasn't trying to force it or anything just the same normal pressure that ive been using previous. I was still optimistic thinking that I could just use the barrette without the plastic or replace it with my own design but the plastic seemed to add a pressure to the metal part and the barrette itself wouldn't function properly afterward.

UPDATE, This broke after 2 months of almost daily use. The black plastic, color-bar that decorates the top of the barrette cracked down the middle. It still works and I still use if, if I am just around the house, because it is gentle on my hair, even if it appears cracked or broken to someone looking at my barrette.Original June 2024: There is a plastic-like covering over the metal connector of this barrette and my hair does not get caught and damaged in the hinge or mechanics of the barrette. This is a genius plan!! And the closure allows it to crimp down 2 more times if my hair is really, really thin. I can find something like this in the drug stores around my house but not always when I need to find one, that day, so getting this from Amazon was a timesaver at about the same costs as the drugstore.

The clips are alittle smaller than expected, but excellent quality & they work fantastic, strong & no slip.

I love these myself, and I bought some for the grand daughter growing out her bangs. I put one in in the morning, left it in for bed, and it was still in place the next morning! I fingered my hair into place and left the barrette for another full day! They have silicone to keep them slip-free. Perfect!

I bought these because I thought Scunci was a reputable brand. I've used their products before and liked them. The packaging photo shows a grown woman with a large clip in her hair. Naturally this is what I thought I was getting. The barrettes I received might work on a child... with fine hair. They are so much smaller than what the image on the packaging suggests. Add to that these barrettes are just on a card with no wrapping or protection around them. One of mine was even off the card by the time it arrived. They are scratched up as a result of poor packaging. Just tossed them in a box, scuffs and all! I requested a return and got my refund at least!

I remember using these in the 70's to keep my long hair put up. These are great to hold your hair back and the style is simple and nice. I would recommend this to anyone who needs something like this to hold their hair back.
