Become a better CEO with his 5-step Evolved Method
In his book, CEO in Control: Stop reacting, get out of your own head and master the mental game needed to be highly effective CEO (The Effective CEO), Byron Morrison helps you realize you don’t have to be in that state. You have a chance to change the way your life is heading. With his inspiring words and guidance, he helps you to “get out of your own head,” to stop reacting to the situation and people around you. He talks about strategic thinking and setting goals, quarterly goals. What you focus on has a huge impact on where you want to be. If you are busy trying to do things that can easily be delegated, then you won’t have time to focus on the bigger things. You will be too tired from your day of putting out fires and solving the smaller problems to focus on what you should have been focusing on from the start. And this sets you and your company back.Being a CEO is no easy task. Others may not understand the challenges and obstacles that tend to get in the way of becoming a great CEO. All the responsibilities, the strategic planning and decision making to be at the top. With Morrison’s 5-step Evolved Method, he will guide you through being the best at what you do. With this method he will have you thinking differently, changing how you process problems and overcome challenges. You will be a better you, and an even greater CEO!One of my favorite quotes from this book is “Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.” This is true in life, not just work. Excellent advice and true guidance.

This book taught me a lot
This book is full of a lot of tips on changing your mindset for the better. It’s all about growing your mindset from entrepreneur to CEO. Byron Morrison says that the mindset required to be a founder, entrepreneur or manager is very different to that of being an effective CEO. As we dive into the book, Byron tells us how to deal with feeling overwhelmed and develop our intuition. Also, one of the most important things about a good CEO is to listen more than you speak. This can help you avoid making decisions that are shortsighted. You want people to be able to express new ideas and opinions rather than being dictated to. He also says to try to avoid telling people what to do because no one likes to be told what to do and even though you may think you know the solution, there is always the possibility that you’re wrong, you’ve missed something, or that there’s a better way to achieve the result.

Big ad for his coaching services
I hate it when I buy a book and discover it’s basically a ‘taster menu’ for something else the author is selling. This book is not even subtle about it. Material is cogent. Short read which a CEO needs. Pointers to exercises. So… overall, there’s useful material if you haven’t done prior coaching work.

Must Read for all Executives
CEO in Control cuts to the heart of what it takes to be an effective leader. The challenges that Morrison describes are ubiquitous in the daily lives of executive leaders. There is nothing complicated or newfangled about his methods. They are practical and will stand the test it time. I found his book compelling enough to sign up for his 90-day Evolved Program. I highly recommend this book for all executives, not only CEO’s.

It's an ad, very basic and sad.
I don't normally leave reviews but today I have to.This book is as basic as eating a McDonald's meal while watching McDonald's commercials. 100 pages which with proper printing must be 35.Sad and a waste of money. Straight to the garbage.

Wow. A real eye-opener.
I read many great books, but this one has been a real eye opener. I am a CEO, currently trying to move from the reactive/overwhelmed status to the "in control" status. It's a process and it requires time, but this book gave me the realisation that I am not alone in what I feel. When you look around you, all the other CEOs seem like having a good and easy time (even a fun time!) managing their business. So you feel like there's something wrong with you. But the reality is that we are not alone and probably all CEOs, at some point, went through that process of having to completely reshape their whole perspective of their role in their business, if they wanted to survive and keep (or going back to) loving their business. This book explained perfectly how I feel, why I feel so, and what I can do to work on those - sometimes overwhelming - feelings.By reading the book you can certainly say that the precision of the description comes from someone that went through that before you, so then you think: "if he overcame that hell, so can I. Let me just find out how.:) "I have just bought the new book from the same author and can't wait to dive into that reading too!Thank you Byron Morrison!
