Whether you're in the mood for soft, medium, or hard-boiled eggs, this machine delivers perfect results every time. The included poaching and omelet tray is a fantastic bonus, adding even more versatility to the unit. I especially appreciate how quickly it cooks—what used to be a time-consuming process is now done in just a few minutes. The design is sleek and compact, and it’s incredibly easy to use. Just fill the water reservoir, place the eggs inside, press the button, and let the machine do the work. The ready signal is a nice touch, so you know exactly when your eggs are done. Plus, it’s BPA-free, which is always a big plus for me.Cleanup is a breeze, and I love how the egg shells peel off easily once the eggs are done. Great Little Egg Cooker!
I'm an old bachelor, and while I love hard boiled eggs, I rarely ever went to the trouble of getting out a pot and cooking them. That, plus I always had a terrible time peeling eggs that were cooked in water. A friend told me about these little egg cookers, so I looked them over and decided on the Chefman.I really like this device. It's very easy to use, does a great job on eggs, and cleanup is a snap. It comes with a little measuring cup which has lines on it for soft, medium and hard boiled as well as for poached eggs and omelets. You just fill the little measuring cup with water (I use distilled water) to the appropriate line for your cooking preference. You pour the water into the cooking plate, place the cooking rack on top of the base, put eggs on the rack (up to six), and place the lid on the unit. You then plug in the unit, press the power button and cooking begins. Hard boiled eggs take about 13 minutes to cook. After cooking you just remove the lid, lift out the cooking rack and hold it with the eggs under cold water for a bit before putting them in the refrigerator. Cleanup is simple. I just rinse the lid and cooking rack with hot water, and wipe the heating plate with a little white vinegar on a paper towel to prevent mineral buildup. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the buzzer that is supposed to sound when cooking is complete doesn't work on my unit. One reviewer said the buzzer is kind of loud and obnoxious, though, so not having one may be more of a blessing than a curse. It certainly isn't a deal-breaker, as the power shuts off when cooking is complete anyway.Hard boiled eggs come out great and are much easier to peel than when boiled in water. The unit comes with a small two-section tray for poached eggs, and that works great as well. I had poached eggs on toast for breakfast the other day, and they were excellent. The little tray is plastic, so make sure you grease the two sections with butter or cooking spray to prevent the eggs from sticking.I'm very happy with this unit. It has a very small countertop footprint, is simple to use and clean, and cooks hard boiled eggs to perfection. If you're on the fence give it a try; I think you'll like it!

So easy & fast!
Love how I can now cook 6-7 hard cooked eggs (or soft or medium) so fast with minimum mess or prep. Small and compact size fits well in my small kitchen. In fact I’m buying another one for my RV. I have also used the omelette and poached egg features. I put a little more water in for my poached eggs because I don’t like any watery whites. But the the yolk is nice & runny!

works but not perfect
It cooked the eggs just fine — no problem there. What I don’t like is the extremely loud, fire alarm-like sound when it’s done. Why not just automatically turn off the power instead? The noise is really annoying.

I love this little thing!
This little egg cooker does a great job! I used to use my instant pot. And while it does a good job also, I found it was just so big and bulky to take out and a lot to clean just for a dozen or so eggs. I guess if I’m doing a ton, it’s quicker, but for just a smaller batch, this is great. Now I don’t follow the directions verbatim. First I don’t poke a hole in them. When I would, the egg white would puff out the top and the eggs would get all wonky. So I leave them as is and cook them. When they are done, before I take them out of the cooker, I use the ends of my tongs and just tap the top to break the shell and then submerge them into an ice bath. That allows the cold water to get between the egg and shell and releases it beautifully. I will add that I’m using fresh eggs, these were laid about 1 1/2 weeks ago, they sat on my cupboard and I didn’t wash till I used them and they didn’t break as I peeled. I did have one crack while cooking, but that egg was already a lot wider than some others and another had a small crack in the egg white but that’s because I went a little hulk on it and I broke it while peeling the shell off. Otherwise they really come out perfectly. The bottom does get a burnt look, but I just cover the bottom of it with splash of white vinegar, let it sit for about a minute, then take a piece of paper towel and wipe it clean and it comes out perfect. In the picture, the dirty bottom was after 3 uses. I didn’t clean it the last time I used it, it was put away before I could get to it, and then I cooked 2 batches of eggs this use. So even after sitting, it came clean. Also I don’t use the little handle thing, I keep it off because I can get one extra egg in it. If the eggs are the jumbo size, I can’t get a 7th egg though, it’s too tight and sometimes the lid won’t fit on. I’ve never used the other pieces, so I can’t say how those work, I only use this for hard boiled eggs and it’s my favorite way by far.
