When a seller describes a wire as suitable for jewelry, that means it should be somewhere between dead-soft and half-hard. This wire is much harder than half-hard, so much so that it's unsuitable for wire-wrapping a bead cluster. I know how to do this operation, and the wire felt very stiff as I wrapped it around the beads and sprang outward the second I paused in the wrapping.Also, the wire broke as I pulled the bottom loop of the wrap taut as I made my final wrap. It broke not where I was wrapping, but on the straight part where the beads were stacked. In fact, it broke a second time when I re-did the wire wrap. This indicates either a low copper content in the wire or a hardness beyond what's appropriate for jewelry-making.Do not buy this item.

I was expecting stiffer wire based on past reviews, but this is down right unworkable. It is brittle and stiff, so it can't be used for anything with a tight curve. Bending a small piece causes fractures in the outer coating and it is incredibly easy to break. Not meant for wire wrapping or small jewlery of any kind. Even as beading wire it is nearly impossible to bend the end into a loop without breakage. This may be usefull for larger art pieces though, as it is stiff and feels strong.

This wire exceeded myexpectations.

This wire feels almost flat instead of round, has so much spring to it that it is extremely hard to try and bend it into a shape, too stiff to use for wire wrapping. DO NOT RECOMMEND it

I was very disappointed with this. Didn’t work at all for jewelry making. Bending the wire at all, even in big or wide loops, caused the wire to snap off completely. Wouldn’t recommend!

Normally these craft wires are soft or half hard. But this one works like hard wire. I can't use it. Its not pliable at all. When I try to use it and for even a twist, it snaps. Useless. I bought the 22 gauge. If it was a 21 or 20 I might just make earwires with them. The gold color is good, but with they needed to put the temper in description. I wouldn't of bought it!
