I sprayed around the patio doors outside & also inside, I haven't seen a single ant as yet since I used it, hopefully this will keep them away, plus it's safe spray for my two little dogs. Hardly any smell. I did think that it was rather expensive, but worth the money if it gets rid of the pesky ants.

As with many other reviewers, I found Pestmatic ‘Smart Spray Ants Away’ incredibly effective and, in my case, well worth the money.For over a month, I tried many of the natural alternatives (vinegar, various spices, baking soda etc.) all of which the ants marched merrily over. The only thing that worked on one window sill was a thick line of table salt covering their entry points. However, a few weeks later, the ants shifted to another kitchen window and nothing, especially during the UK July heat wave, could keep them out. Then, after reading the positive reviews, last week, I bought the Smart Spray.To be honest, I’m not entirely certain how non-toxic and ‘natural’ the spray is as, after the first treatment, I found about twenty dead ants the next morning, but it appears to act as a deterrent as, after a week, I’ve only found a single dead ant (and no live ones!). However, I would not use the spray in my garden as I think that that’s where ants belong and I’m happy to share my garden space with them. According to the RHS, ants are ‘are an important part of the biodiversity of a healthy garden’ and, if they’re not causing widespread destruction, they should be tolerated. They’re good for pest control, soil aeration, nutrient cycling, and seed dispersal.

We purchased this for ants that had started to make a nuisance of themselves when the warm weather started in May. We have a 9 month old pup and were worried she would get ill with all of the other ant killers.I was a little dubious about the "smart spray" naming but the reviews were good and we gave it a go.I have to admit it did the job fantastically. The ants hated it and the dog had no issues with it at all. The ants had died off within a few weeks and so far there have been no others.The only issue I had was the high price but the fact it worked I would have to grudgingly admit it was worth it.

I live in a block on flats on the ground floor. The ants that plague my flat practically every summer, nest in the cavity between my flat and the next. I therefore am unable to spray directly onto their nest. This is probably why this spray didn’t really provide a long term solution for me.I would spray generously one day, scoop up lots of dead ants a few hours later and then roughly 24 hours later they’d be back again and very much alive. So I’d have to repeat. This went on for a few weeks. I’ve had more success with bait stations in the past but due to a recent addition to my family in the shape of a kitten, I didn’t want anything that could harm him.After a recommendation, In the end I doused some kitchen towels in pure peppermint oil and placed them strategically around my flat. Hey presto, no ants!!!!!! We smelt like a peppermint factory but it was worth it. This is one old wives tale that actually works!

A bit pricey, but it's the best I ever used, very effective. I'm ordering it again.

Excellent product only sprayed the area once around the window ledge and they have not been seen again

I have given it 4 stars because it certainly got rid of the ants in my kitchen. However, it wasn't an alternative to ant killer as claimed. I had hundreds of dead ants to hoover up!
