Great start for kids
My 10 year old son decided he wants to be a chef. I searched for a good starter cookbook for him and decided on this one. I am very pleased with it, as I wanted him to be able to do the recipes independently. I had him read all the introduction pages which explained many of the terms. He decided first to make the blueberry muffins and they were delicious! Next he made the shrimp stir fry, again, very good. Even his picky little sister said it was good! They ate veggies!! He made the apple juice fruit jello as well, which I liked as it didn't have so much sugar in it!I like that I can just be there to answer questions and he can follow the recipes and make very good yet easy foods. I thought there was a good variety of recipes, from super easy, to more involved. We both love this book.

highly recommended
I have really enjoyed cooking with my nephews using this book. The pictures are great. The quality of the book/paper is fantastic. It's not going to fall apart. The selection of recipes is also really fun and appropriate. None of them are super difficult, and the font size/layout/etc is geared well for children who are learning to enjoy cooking.

Good Cookbook...Bad Copy
This cookbook has great recipes that kids will actually enjoy eating as well as making. I liked the fact that the recipes were pretty healthy, and not junk food, just because they were aimed towards kids. The only reason I did not give this the highest rating is because of the way it was printed and bound. When I opened the book and started turning the pages many of them were stuck together. When I gently tried to pull them apart the pages tore. I think that the spiral binding is too small for this size book. The pages need to be laminated, or the binding needs to be larger to keep this from happening. I didn't have time to exchange this cookbook for another copy because it was part of a gift basket that was being auctioned off for a fundraiser. So I'm not sure if all copies of the book have the same issue, or I just happened to get a bad copy. Overall I think the content is great!

Kids cook book
Well displayed in such a way that it attracts and holds the grandkids interest. We have made several dishes with easy to follow directions. Did however need to go grocery shopping for product but just another lesson in shopping with list in hand and another fun day at Krogers.

Get this cookbook for the budding young cook in your life!
Best children's cookbook I have ever gotten for my many young relatives just starting to explore in the kitchen. Good variety of recipes that the kids enjoy making. I don't bother rotating among other cookbooks when buying a first cookbook for youngsters any more. I always get this one.

Great Cookbook for any age!
The Williams Sonoma Kid's Cookbook is an excellent way for kids to have delicious success cooking. In fact each recipe my kids have tried, has been a hit. Our family especially enjoyed the homemade tortilla chips and the macaroni and cheese.
