Great Card
On watching reviews I thought I'd try an Angelbird Cfexpress B card & it's very good. I am using it in a Z8 and it has never gotten hot in the camera or reader and it is blazing fast; never given me a read or write problem. Plus, they are far cheaper than other brands. Hurray Angelbird!

Certainly! Here’s a positive post for the Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress B SE memory card:
I’ve been using the Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress B SE (512 GB) memory card, and it’s been an exceptional addition to my gear. The fast speeds are impressive, allowing me to record up to 8K RAW effortlessly. The performance at this price point is truly mind-boggling.The build quality is robust, which gives me confidence that it can withstand the heat generated by the camera and endure occasional drops. This card has served me well, making it a reliable choice for both video and photo content production.Highly recommended for anyone in need of a high-capacity, durable, and fast memory card!

Understanding Sustained Write Speeds Is Important
This card suffers from the same problem that many other brands succumb to, the need to advertise "peak" read speeds on the card to help sell cards. The real story here is in sustained write speeds. When it's all said and done, this is the most important statistic in any memory card. It tells you what the card is capable of doing in your camera. In the case of this Angelbird AV PRO SE, that's "Sustained write speed of 800 MB/s". Meaning this card is capable of 8K RAW and 4K120p. I've tested this against my other cards (ProGrade Cobalt) and have seen no difference in photography RAW image buffer on the Canon R3 or video recording in any format on the R3/R5. It did, however, cost considerably LESS than my ProGrade Digital cards.Where this cards actually falls short is with an unusually slow startup time when installed in your camera. The R5 and R3 both take a little more time to actually turn on versus startup times with the ProGrade cards. There are firmware updates avilable for the cards that annoyingly must be performed with Angelbird's own reader. I picked one of these up and upgraded the firmware on one of mine - this made no difference in startup times in either camera. One of my cards says it can't be upgraded because it's not compatible with the firmware update - they're exactly the same card. So I don't know what's going on there...but it didn't make a difference with the R5 so I won't bother with it.I think the firmware updates are very stupid because no other CFExpress card on the market (to my knowledge) require this or even offer it. So why does Angelbird need it?

Fast and reliable card though it can get hot
I needed a fast card for shooting action shots in burst mode. The only issue I have with this card is that it can get hot and I get a hot card warning if I shoot too much or use the video. Other than that am pleased with it and the price

Failed during second shoot
This was a great value right up until it wasn't. Worked ok, albeit so writes (more below about that) until the second time I took it out for a shoot. Cold day (mid 30's) and the camera was in my car a couple hours before turning it on. Got the "could not read memory card" error on powerup. Pulled it several times with the same results. When I got home I tossed it in the reader on my computer and it wasn't recognized there either. Bout an hour later I came back to the computer to pull the card and box it up for return. To my surprise the computer was now reading it. Since reliability is the main feature of any memory card, I no longer considered this one reliable and returned it opting to buy a SanDisk instead. As far as speed, I shoot a lot of sports/action shots on a canon R5 and need a fast card so the buffer can offload to the card before filling. With the angel bird I was at less than 100 shots before the shutter started lagging. With the sandisk I stopped counting after about 250 shots. Much much faster. If you shoot video or portrait, this isn't really a consideration, but for sports having not having it lag on that perfect shot is critical.

Good value and blazing fast
Cheaper than the similar one, blazing fast record write speed

Great value for 512GB Type-B; works great in GH6 but speeds are slightly lower than advertised
I'm using this in my Panasonic GH6 for Anamorphic recording so it does the job and works well. Running speed tests on this and its slightly inconsistent as write speeds peak at 800MB/s but usually range between 690MB/s to 780MB/s with the read speed being slightly lower at around 575MB/s-600MB/s. Overall, it is working for my GH6 anamorphic recording since the bitrate is lower but the speeds aren't hitting the advertised 800MB/s.

Fantastic company
I wouldn't use anyone else for my Nikon needs. I had a snafu with the transfer of photos and my computer and Angelbird went above and beyond to get my pictures off of the card. The snafu was not on their end.
