Stilton Blue Cheese (5 Lb Half Wheel) Tuxford & Tebbut Dairy from England

Remarkably high quality English Blue Stilton. Perfect texture and taste. A nice way to handle this much cheese is to cut it into five 1 lb. wedges and then vacuum-seal/shrink wrap each one individually. The cheese then keeps well in the refrigerator. I tried freezing one pound of it vacuum-sealed, but I do not know the results yet -- haven't thawed it back out. Anyway the quality of the cheese is simply extraordinary!Update: When vacuum sealed, cheese freezes well, at least as judged after three weeks. Still excellent.

Stilton Cheese is the best Blue Cheese in the world. Unfortunately the shipping by UPS was very slow and the information on delivery date changed every day not thier usual performance. When it did finally arrive I contacted the shipper and he was very helpful and apologized for the delay it certainly wasn't his fault and with pictures and explanation I gave him we both agreed that it was fine to eat. He was absolutely correct and I will purchase from him again.

This is one of the better Blue Cheeses that I have ever had. There may be better blue cheese out there, but I haven't found it yet. Great texture & flavor.Although it did arrive when scheduled, it is tough to ship from coast to coast in the summer with 2 day delivery, as even with one frozen gel pack & the insulated container it was still relatively warm & the ice had melted.The cheese was not cold at all & had begun to 'weep' moisture inside the shrink wrap.I immediately refrigerated the cheese & after 24 hours, I began to enjoy!Thank you to a great seller!

Cut up my 5lb wheel into small wedges looking forward to months of delicious Stilton enjoyment. Been loving Stilton for twenty years and this is the most disappointing tasting cheese ever. Packaging was great, arrived quickly, just tastes well below par. Sorry for the bad review and I know you guys are held to a very high standard and your consistency has always been amazing but this wasn’t it. Luck of the draw I guess. Just disappointed I won’t be enjoying real Stilton for months. Some might say “throw it out, quit your whining and buy more”. Limited funds.

I was tempted to buy the five-pound package when it was a lot less expensive, but i wasn't sure it would freeze well. I subsequently learned that it does freeze well, but by then the item had disappeared: out of stock, and no certainty it would come back. Fortunately, it did come back, albeit at a much higher price, but I pounced on it anyway. Glad I did; this is superb English Stilton. And I can confirm that it definitely freezes just fine. I cut it into wedges, wrap it in plastic wrap, then aluminum foil, and then put it in Ziploc bags. This is the real deal. If you love Stilton, look no further.

The cheese is good. The way the wheel is cut will not make the visual impression on a banquet table that the picture on Amazon did. A half wheel should have one cut face, this does not. It is a slice from a wheel with rind around the circumference only.
