Wonderful unit, but a little tight.
It works very well and runs cool. Fixed my issues with a cheap unit. The fan is super quiet like inaudible. No needing to replace this one’s fan. The only issue are the cables are a bit stiff and since there’s extra most people don’t need it makes it hard to fit in tight cases like my small 5L.

Everything I had hoped for
This power supply does everything it says It's going to do. Currently powers a i7-10700k and a 3070 with a water pump. It gets a little bit hot on the sides at peak times but nothing very worrisome. The fan does come on and unfortunately isn't silent, but I have few complaints with how loud it actually is. I'm not one of those people who has to have it dead quiet so I can't tell you definitely, but I'd say for most people it's very quiet unless you push it really hard. It does have two 6+2 PCIE connectors and I'm able to power the 3070 without any wack adapters. The cables I think are a bit long and have a few too many connectors for what the most likely use case is, tiny PCs. There are for my use cases too many sata connectors, and there is no need for any more than zero floppy or molex connectors, of which this has several. I'm sure someone could use them but for the majority of small PC building people who buy this, that just gets in the way. In the end I'm a fan, and I'm not worried about the cable problems because I can just cut and wrap the cables if I feel like it. Not everyone is comfortable with that though.

Excellent price for a quality flex psu
This SilverStone unit works great! I am glad I did not try to save a few bucks with a lower quality option. With the price here on Amazon for this model you should treat yourself.

It produces power. It is also a hair dryer.
I was replacing a PSU in a computer that appeared to be going bad and needed this form factor. I checked the PSU first (before I installed it). It was a little louder than the old one when testing, but it's also rated for more power so I found that acceptable. Until I ran it in the PC.Note my PC is not overly powerful (i3-7100, 16GB DDR4-2400, solid state storage, no GPU). It is loud and both winey and produces wind noise, all while expelling very little air. I thought the fan was stuck on high, but no, it got louder and whinier. The fan also adjusts randomly without a power draw variance. All of the noise appears to be coming from the fan. It is not hot or overheating, just really loud.At 50w power draw from the wall, it sounds like a desk fan from 10 feet away. I have no idea what it would sound like at double that. Yes, my old power supply was only 180w, but it was originally silent at minimum draw on this computer. Also, it's less efficient than my old PSU (more power consumption under the same usage). It's the exact same computer. It simply appears to not be as efficient as it should be.It's not that it bothers me when gaming (I don't do that), it's so bad that I don't want to use the computer. I actually had to get up and go out in the hallway when I was typing this.I have another computer with an SFX power supply made by Silverstone and it's much quieter, as in I could run that plus another computer and a laptop or two and still not hear any of them over this power supply. Honestly it sounds like a rackmount server PSU (not a quiet one).Part of the problem may be that most of the top facing ventilation is mostly covered by a clear shield inside the power supply. It is bad enough that I'm considering using a full size supply and just leaving it on the desk next to the computer. Finally, though I was prepared for this, the cables aren't appropriate for a small computer. They are not flexible enough for the odd placements that you find in computers that use this kind of PSU. The loose braided sleeving does protect the cables, but makes them even bulkier. It would help to drop some of the connectors. I'd recommend no more than 2 SATA, 1 molex, and no floppy. At the noise this is making it shouldn't have a 6 pin PCIe either.Either mine has some sort of issue, or this is just a bad design. I feel reasonably confident in its power delivery. If this is the normal volume it's not acceptable in a desktop PC and it should not be listed as such.

Pricey, non modular but silent
One star off for being non modular - ie unable to disconnect unused cables like floppies and SATAs.

SilverStone Technology FX600 Platinum
Great psu for mini itx builds. Only issue is the amount of connectors it comes with. I get that its good to have in case you need it, but if you plan on using this in a very small form factor, having that much extra cables that's not being used can be a burden. Then it may be better to go with a modular psu instead. But other than that it works great!

Jesus Christ this sound is unbearable!
Cables are low key too long for SFF, that's okay. Cables are stiff, that happens. What I do not understand is how this fan is so loud. I measured it with Spectroid and it gives off white house from around 700Hz all the way to 7kHz! You see where there entire top spectrum gets quieter about half way through? That is entirely the PSU's fan!I naively thought I could find a way to silence this or maybe get used to it. The only way you can stand this fan is if you're partially deaf. It sounds identical to the fans used in data centers. It isn't just a fan noise, there is also a loud machine signal sound.I like Silverstone as a whole, but this PSU's noise is ridiculous to the point I'm wondering if they even tested this before selling it. I really regret my purchase :|I'm going to have to void my warranty or return this thing.Edit: Decided to try to switch the fan. Oh boy. Just don't buy this. Whoever designed this thing not only added extremely long stiff cables that make it almost impossible to fit it into a small form factor case, PLUS the noisy fan, they even deliberately chose a fan that is hard to switch out, and they added a hidden piece of metal with a hidden screw (literally does nothing except bend if you try to open it). This thing is trash.Does it power on and supply power? Yes. That is where the pros end and everything else is a con. It is even technically bigger than flex spec and it makes everything difficult. Do not be a moron like me, buy something else. I'm at the point where I look forward to this thing dying so I can replace it.Buy literally anything else with decent reviews. You WILL regret it if you buy this.

A good flex psu but!!
I received the power supply and it is working properly. But take care because the graphic cable is 6 pins only. I didn't notice before purchasing (it is my mistake 😔).
